Frank's 1st Alarm is definitely a neighborhood city bar with a lot of really good and nice people. Â Since the last post (2010) there has been a complete turn over in bartenders and they are all very friendly and fun to be around. Â I attended the annual Christmas party this past weekend and it was a great time. Â The place was packed and everyone had a great time. Â I'm looking forward to attending the New Year's Eve Party on Dec 31st. Â
If you haven't been in a while or have never been to Frank's 1st Alarm, you need to stop by. Â The owner, Frank Hornburg, is a really nice guy and socializes with all his patrons when he is there. Â
Check the bar out!!
Frank's 1st Alarm is located just outside of a really, really, really neat area. Â I'd been unaware of how nice the patch area (or carondelet) of St. Louis has become. Â This is a dive bar - darts and pool table available - a personable bar tender, nice gal until you get the tab which has been mis-calculated by almost $20. Â Look folks, just because I'm having fun, doesn't mean I'm three sheets to the wind - I know what two buckets and two drinks cost. Â No amount of blaming the cash register is going to ameliorate the attempt to rip me off. Â I consider Frank's to be on the wrong side of the tracks.
