Nice set up to watch sports. Lots of tables and HD televisions surrounding the restaurant/bar. But, the service is terrible. They need to hire more servers. Both times I've been in during a Broncos game there has only been two waitresses. Getting food and drinks takes forever. It's unacceptable really. Hopefully they read this and do something about it.
Review Source:Went to Gibby's for the first time last night. Â It is a very nice, modern sports bar. Â I like the decor a lot....wooden floors and pine green paint...nice blend of sports bar/mountain motif. Â
When we first arrived the music was blasting so loud we could not talk across the table. Â We asked our server if they would turn it down, and the they did. Â Our server was good. Â She was nice and attentive.
I ordered a BLT. Â This was the only disappointing part of my experience. Â The bacon was hardly cooked. Â It was chewy and touch with a lot of fat. Â I ended up taking most of it out of my sandwich. Â Also, the bread was barely toasted.
Having said that, I would give their food a second chance because I liked the atmosphere a lot. Â It would be a good place to go watch a game and have a beer.
We went here for Aurora Day and to support the victims of the Theater shooting. The service started out pretty rough (they weren't that busy) but as soon as they got things squared away, we were pretty impressed with their service.
Be sure to try out their green chili and their variety of flavors of their wings, both are SLAMMIN!
It's worth going here at least once to give them a shot. We will be back...
2 beach sand volleyball courts in the back, its the best patio I've been to in Denver.
I always have fun here, they have tons of TVs with sports playing which is a necessity for me since its football season. The drink prices are great, the food is really good. Pork sliders and wings are a must!
I play volleyball here and normally just have a beer or two. Â Recently I invited a few friends to join me and we ordered food. Â Wow, fantastic! Â I now find myself popping in on non volleyball nights for dinner. Â Great job Gibby's! Â Oh, and I also found out that the friends I brought out are also grabbing dinner here weekly. Â Big fan of the jalapeno burger and the chimichanga. Â Allegedly (haven't verified it yet) they will deep fry their smothered burrito if you ask nicely. Â Add that to my to do list.
Review Source:Friendly service and good food. I have had the chicken nachos and chili cheese fries. Both were surprisingly really good. Good quality products and the green chili was delicious. Â I would def go back for the food and drinks. Seems like they specials all the time and happy hour of course!
Review Source:wow just slow service at the bar area. this must be a trend here in Denver that all these bars have slow service, like really having 2 people work the bar on a busy Friday night. Oh heres the best part they donthave a bouncer there or a person checking ID's so everytime you get a drink they ask for it and I tried geting shots for me and my friends and i had to grab all of them and bring them to show their ID's so ya thats makes it really annoying to have a good time
Review Source:Since last year I have not gone to Gibby's a lot because the original BUFF Brothers sold it to a managing company where all the servers and bartenders make the decisions. Â Also, my friend Brad James (RIP) used to manage there.
The service is somewhat slow because when I go in, there a bartender and a server. Â Since they got new ownership, they changed there lay out.
I think there are a couple of goods. Â They use to have a four-page menu, now it is lessen and the food taste better. Â I used to love there buffalo favored wings, now they are hotter.
They also changed there specials a lot to fit there clientele. Â And they have change there happy hour. Â I love the 15% off on there wings. Â There patio is huge and they have a two sand courts for ring toss and volleyball.
This place use to be cool when it was BUFF Bros. Since the lil Pub Company douches took over, service is gotten progressively worse. At least they were able to keep some of the old recipes, the wings and Coronas  still make the visit barely tolerable. Same can be said for Piflers on the other side of town. Old owners actually knew something about customer service, new owners couldn't care less, just trying to buy up as many bars in town as they can for whatever reason. I guess they feel there aren't enough bars with average food and shitty service in the metro area.
At least Buffalo wild Wings is opening near by.
Hubby's co-workers frequent this joint quite often, so I joined them a few nights. Service in front is horrible, patio service is bueno. I devoured their chicken nachos and onion rings. Happy hour specials are $1 drinks for the ladies (nice!) DJ played lots of old school jams like Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer. Nice change from  the Lil Wayne crap I hear way too often.
Review Source:This place rocks!
Right off Havana. Easy to get to, lots of parking. Lots of tv's showing various sports.
We came here to watch Duke win the championship. Tall glasses of Blue Moon were $4. Tacos were $.75 each. The wings came is several flavors and were some of the biggest, meatiest wings I've ever seen. Blew wing stop, BWW and all the pizza places out of the water. Try the coconut flavored wings....OMG!
The place also has some pool tables and a good looking staff.
FYI: I didn't like how, many of the tv's in here were old. Not even LCD!
Many people that were there were regulars and the bartenders were fun and outgoing. Great spot. Totally worth it!
Came here for a friend's birthday and discovered that they do karaoke on Thursdays. Â There's a pretty decent song selection and the sound is pretty good. Â They also have monitors in several places so the audience can sing along easily. Â This is one of the roomiest bars I've been to. Â Everyone can find a seat/table easily and you won't feel crowded. Â Another plus, is the roomy covered patio in the back. Â In the summer, they offer two sand volleyball courts as well.
My only gripe with regards to the karaoke is that there's too much filler music between each singer. Â If you have a lot of singers waiting to sing, don't play a whole filler song after each singer. Â I've never understood why KJs do this and it's one of my biggest pet peeves. Â
All-in-all, it was a good experience and I would definitely go back.
I used to live right behind this place, it was 262 steps from my door to their door. I moved away but every time I came back to Denver I would have to go to Gibby's and get my Wing fix.
I think they have some of the best Wings in Denver. To the guy who said they only have one type of sauce for the wings, go back and read the menu. They have about 10 different types, from Mild to effing hot, sweet and spicy. Come on really how many time have you ordered less than 10 wings. I don't like the fact that you cant split up your sauces though. Sometimes I like 5 hot and 5 jerk spice but they would not do it. Its just a different sauce and bowl to mix them in, not a big deal.
Great burgers and my friends swears by the chicken tenders. They "chips" are great also.
On Sat and Sun they have a Make you own bloody mary bar which is better than most places.
Lots of TVs Great place to watch sports and get your drink on.
Ok I went last night and had some food whilst sober. Friday night is $4 absolute drinks and $2.50 coors light. AND $.80 tacos. 80 cents! And they are freakin delicious. Mahi mahi, chipotle mayo, fresh cabbage and I think bell peppers. They really are super tastyy and I woud pay far more than what is asked.
The service blows goats. It is slow and at one point the server totally shafted me when I was quite clearly trying to order a drink. There was a DJ there and the music selection was sub par at best. This bar is pretty d-baggy but they have really good food and cheap dranks.
Buff Brother's bars have been eroding in quality since I moved to the Denver area four years ago. Â They are still a cut above some of the other "bars" in town so I feel they deserve 3-stars. Â Surprisingly, the food is quite tasty... Â I prefer the hangover helper... Â the following day. Â The drinks have increased in price significantly over the years and the staff is rather arrogant. Â If you go up to the bar, the bartender will normally be mid conversation and make you wait for them to finish before taking your order... Â and the bartenders are much better than the waitressess. Â If you sit in a section, you'll probably be very displeased with your waitress... Â just make your life easy and order at the bar then go back and sit at the table. Â Two things happen here: 1. Â The waitress does not get a tip: 2. Â The waitress will hopefully realize the nature of her flaws.
It sounds like I'm complaining about Gibby's but the thing is, regardless of the waitressess or bar tenders, this place is a pretty good time. Â Go with a very large group and have a lot of booze. Â The place will grow on you... Â last time I was there, we brought a wii and played bowling on the big screen.
It was a little pricey, but their burgers are in fact very good. For $8 you get onion rings and any burger (and they are huge with actual ground beef). They have a lot of tvs, and it doesnt hurt that it is RIGHT behind my apartment. So I can just walk there.
They have this patio area where you can play beach volleyball and I've seen two bonfires there too. It's not your typical sports bar. the interior is kind of nice.... The only downside is that they dont actually have a beer menu. The waiters have everything memorized...
btw.... wings are $0.75 each, and you need to order a minimum amount of 10. I didnt like that a bit, but they do have different degrees of spicyness. I recommend the XXX.
Yeah. Happy hour from Mon-Fri (perfect... that's when they show baseball, and no one watches that).
Such a fan of this place. Â When I moved this became a quick bar to frequent, since it's all of 2 miles up the street. Â I can ride my bike (theoretically) because it's so close.
My previous apartment was near a Buff Brothers Bar (milos, which is actually no longer a Buff Bro's bar) so it's fitting that my new joint isn't too far away from another Buff Bro's bar. Â Service has been slow every single time I've gone here -- but it's reasonably friendly. Â Some of the female servers seem to assume that just because I'm male that I'm hitting on them -- one or two have been of the female variety that are unable to tell the difference between being friendly and hitting on them, but I digress.
Prices are fair, same as most places. Â Beer is cheap and cold, and the mixed drinks aren't of killer prices while they are of appropriate strength. I have a love affair with Buff brothers food -- I can't get enough of it. Â It's the same everywhere, but for some reason I absolutely love it. Â It's probably in my top 3 of favorite bar food. Â Greasy without being too greasy, and always quite tasty.
The atmosphere is good, it's usually at least a little busy. It's large, lots of TVs, pool, golden tee, etc. Â Out back there's a giant covered patio where you can smoke, and they've got two outdoor volleyball courts (I played on one! yay!) where they have volleyball on Thursday nights through a local rec association or something.
It's a great bar, lots of people, good prices and a lot of fun! Â Here's where I'd make some clever pun using the name Gibby's...but who am I kidding, it's nearly impossible...
Better than average cookie-cutter Buff Brothers Bar. Â Good bar food.
5 Pool Tables, shuffle board, 1 foosball table, buck hunter, golden tee, arcade bowling, 2 full bars...Karaoke! Â (I haven't been here in over a year though)
I LOVE their green chili-cheese fries here. Â Looks like vomit and pig shit on a plate, but taste like heaven. Â My buddy comes here to buy tubs of green-chili quite often.
They used to have a really cool staff here, but I think they fired 90% of them for doing blow.
Really tasty *big* breaded wings with a variety of sauces (Jamaican Jerk for the win!). Â Pretty good burgers, etc.
The drinks are a little pricey, just stick to the Jim Beams and your tab will be o-k. Â Outdoor volleyball is cool. Â Big ass enclosed patio for smoking, as well as outdoor firepits to hang out around. Â Usually a pretty big crowd. Â I used to live by here so it was a quick walk. Â Do NOT drink and drive here!! Â Cops sit outside the lot and monitor all cars. Â (Not that you should drink and drive ANYWHERE).
Cool Place, check it out!
I frequent this sports bar quite often. Always find a way to have fun, games, pool, trivia, foosball, etc... The drinks are ok, usually pored somewhat strong, prices are ok. The Bolder Gold wings are pretty good, used to be my favorite wings in town. However the last 4-5 visits these have been way undercooked???
The servers have always been REALLY SLOW, and are not nice at all!!! Ever!!! It's weird?
The first Bar I went to was Gibby's it was way cool. We went on a Thursday which is lady's night..1.50 drinks cant beat that!
The french fries are so good. I hear all the food is good.
They have a nice heated porch where you can smoke and drink. They have a volley ball courts. They also have karaoke and pool tables.
I would go back for sure. I like to watch sports such as Baseball and UFC. and they have TVs everywhere.
This is a cool-enough, casual spot to hang out with a group of friends. It's a big place, lots of tvs, and pool tables. Â Drinks are so-so, nothing special, food's ok. Â I like it enough to hang out when I don't feel like dressing up and just hanging with the boys. Â Staff is friendly enough, service on the slow side..
