This place is a blast from the past. Â I mean that in a good way. It has that old school diner feel, like it was set up back in the late 80's or early 90's and it froze there. Â
The place is spotless, very clean and very friendly. Â I have only been here for breakfast where they serve the typical breakfast items seen at any other breakfast diner. Â The food is nothing extravagantly special, but it also does not disappoint, it is very straight forward and simple. Â The prices are good, and again the staff very friendly.
The coffee stays warm, this goes with the place which has a cozy homey feel. Â I know the place is run by a small family and the same staff has been there for years. Â I like that there are some parking spaces in the back (by the fire station) and I can go in through the back door instead of trying to park on Archer. Â I won't lie, it always makes me feel like I am part of the "in" crowd or like I run the joint since not many people are aware of the back entrance. Â (well, now they will....)
Simple, easy, and to the point. Â If you are tired of Pindos, Huck Finn, New Archview, give this place a shot, it won't disappoint.
the place is spotless, the first thing i check is the salt&pepper and sugar containers&and condiments all clean,in fact spotless just like the washroom.my server victor was so helpful,he being a big guy:I asked for his recommendations and he recommended their steak skillet( it was the bomb!! Review Source:Sometimes it's the little things that keep you around or make you go back.
I write this review in honor of my late father, Ricardo, because it's almost  father's day and well he can't cause he's .... dead.
My old man took me to this place all the time
I don't know why. Â The food is par for the course, Usual diner fare. Â Nothing to really write home about.
I guess what set this one apart from the others on Archer, was the service.  Kind waitresses whom treated you well with prompt and  courteous service.
My old man told me one day after having a late breakfast there his reasoning behind traveling to Restaurant located six miles from our home in PIlsen.
He said it was the aspect that the waitresses always kept his coffee warm, remembered his name, didn't bother him much while he ate his meal, the place it self was always very clean and sanitation were never an issue, and the man behind the counter always made it a point to come over and ask him how he was doing, and trade old fishing stories.
"you go out of your way for things that you like or places that treat you well" he told me.
Their fare is the usual diner grub, although their omelets are very tasty and the fact they have many dishes with Chorizo always made my day. Â Good, tasty food, with excellent service at a decent Price.
Sadly my old man got the cancer in early 2005, he became quite sick, and his days were drawing to a near.
We still would go not as often as before but, every once a month or so
The entire staff knew the situation at hand, and went out of their way even more
In the fall of 2005 his body could take no more  and he passed on.
Two months later I stopped by with what then was my girl friend but now is my wife.
The entire wait staff come over because they knew he had passed on, in some sort of  acknowledgement of my father's patronage, they gave us our meal for free.  A fine gesture indeed
My trips are not as often as in my youth, but I still go.
And I can still hear my dad talking about the going fishing for bullheads or admonishing me for putting ketchup on my eggs
