I am a regular here for 2 reasons: #1 the drinks are cheap, making it easy to get drunk enough to get my Michael Jackson on. #2 the bouncer/bartenders are always super chill, and recognize me after only a few visits so i feel like i am welcome.
HOWEVER: last night (it was a thursday) i went out there fairly early, and only got to sing ONE TIME in 3.5 HOURS. It was a DJ i do not recognize, and obviously he did not feel that it was important to oblige me with a chance to sing (even after 2 requests and 3 reminders). He did, however, feel that some young girls dressed in as little as possible deserved the chance to get up there, MULTIPLE TIMES. He lied to my face saying i was up next, only to slide a couple of his friends on stage ahead of me. I felt extremely slighted being skipped over so many times, and it was BY FAR the worst experience i have ever had at the Good Nite. I sincerely hope to never see that DJ last night again, as i will most certainly turn around and take my business elsewhere if i see him up front next time i go in.
GREAT BAR! ALWAYS A GOOD NITE, BUT LAST NIGHT'S DJ NEEDS TO GO BACK TO HIS DAY JOB.
I was dragged into this place for my birthday, being that I have never karaoke in my life in front of an audience. Heck to be honest, I am not a good public speaker, singing drunk in front of total strangers was not my cup of tea. As part of the birthday celebration we came here on a Saturday night, the place was packed and raucous. Half of the patrons were not completely there but entertaining though. The inside is quite small, probably fits about 50 to 75 peeps at most. Cannot recall the decor other than that it was dark.
There is a two drink minimum to sing, although not certain how they keep track with so many people. But don't let that bother you, drinks here are very inexpensive. On a Saturday night there is a long extensive wait to sing, at some point in the night they play only club music. The best night to hit this spot would be Sundays, yes we did come back the following day. The company I was with was determined for me to sing, drunk or sober. Unfortunately she chose the most hardest song that all I did was murmured the chorus and yes I was sober.
Pretty cool place but I think what made it most grand was spending it with her. Thank you for the best bday gift, although I hate singing, it was definitely the most memorable of any year. Maybe next time I'll sing her a song.
This place should not be listed as a karaoke bar. It's definitely divey, which is cool, but the DJ has other ambitions. Just take away the karaoke feature and this place is just another bar with a mix of pop/hip-hop and related music. If people come here expecting fun with karaoke, go elsewhere. You'll be disappointed.
Review Source:Divey bar with Karaoke. We came here for some singing on a bar hopping Saturday night. It wasn't overly packed so we put in some song requests. There was a pretty good selection of songs in the books. After about an hour and a half, our songs still didn't come on. We decided to leave.
Drinks were on the strong side and bartenders were readily available. Be careful not to get involved with Devils Diciples bikers. It appears that they hang out here a lot and pick up victims to bring back to their den, located just a couple of blocks away. But that's a whole entire different story which I won't get into in this review!
Things going for this place: cheap drinks ($6 AMF that tastes like nail polish it's so strong? Sold). Weird divey/lounge atmosphere. Karaoke every night of the week. Friendly bouncers.
Things I wasn't down with: Really just one thing. The karaoke DJ just did not handle his. When you tell me it's karaoke time, I am expecting non-stop tone-deaf and drunken jams until last call. What we got was a few songs and then the longest musical intermission of all time. My friends waited and waited and never got to sing, and not because the line was long--just because the DJ seemingly forgot all about the karaoke once a sizable crowd filled the space. Seems counterintuitive, and while I always appreciate the chance to shake my moneymaker, I want to do it to a drunk girl rambling through rap lyrics, not to some dumb house music without words.
In closing, advertising karaoke here is misleading. And soylent green is people.
Talk about dive bar. If you want a good Karoake dive bar in a seedy industrial part of North Hollywood, look no further.
The good: You get there at 9, and you have time to try out those songs you wouldn't dare try on a larger crowd. The drinks are reasonably priced, and the service is good.
The Bad: the location is weird, the place is small, and the first time I went, Karaoke was cut off by the ghetto DJ's entorage and their quasi stage orgy. The second time I went, it took the (new) DJ almost and hour and a half to get the Karoke laptop working.
I love the Good Nite, plain and simple. I have been there maybe a handful of times but everytime I'm there:
1. Me and everyone else in my group gets drunk as hell for super cheap
2.There is always some type of adventure!!
This place reminds me of a place I used to bartend at in san jose,ca. Pretty cheap drinks, they pour with a heavy hand. Karaokie every night with a wide range of songs and even if they don't have it in the books you can always ask for it! Private lil lounge area for me and the homies when it's our birthday which you can reserve for FREE! There always seems to be a taco truck outside and the tacos are delish! And the staff is really cool, no attitudes!
It's divey and in an industrial neighborhood so don't be shocked by roaches out on the sidwalk.Good Nite I love you guys and everytime I'm there I leave with a smile and a stumble in my step :)
This place was PERFECT for my birthday party. Daniel was very accommodating with giving us the VIP booth (which is sooo cute! with curtains and all- I only wish I spent more time in there) and also with storing my cake until it was ready. Cheap drinks and all my guests got to sing as much as they wanted. It was JUST what I wanted for my birthday. As an added bonus there was a food truck parked outside all night so all my guests could eat tacos etc, after drinking half of the bar contents ;)
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a fun non pretentious karaoke night out for your birthday.
Let me start by clarifying that this, to me, is not a dive bar in any sense of the word. Â I don't understand how all these people keep classifying it as a dive bar. Â People - if you walk into this place and think, "this is a dive bar", then allow me to show you a few places. Â
As soon as you walk in, it's clear that this is place has more of a trendy/lounge vibe than a dive bar. Â The decor (the lighting for example) is very modern. Â Not a dive at all. Â I'm not knocking the place, because, as you can see, I give it four stars. Â But I like to get facts straight.
Having said that, we had a great time at The Good Nite. Â We came for karaoke on a Tuesday (a rare opportunity to drink during the week having Wednesday off as a holiday). I was immediately struck by how small the space is, but it's very nice.
It took us quite a while to get the bartender's attention as he was shaking hands/chatting with some people down at the end of the bar for quite some time. Â But once we got our first drink, he was pretty friendly and attentive the rest of the night.
The karaoke selection was decent. Â I didn't really look through the books, because I know the songs I want to sing are sure to be in there. Â The KJ was very accommodating. Â I was a little disappointed that we got there around 10:30, stayed til 2:00, and I only managed to get two songs in.
But the crowd was great. Â You can tell that people go here specifically to do karaoke. Â It's not a place where people go, and sometimes karaoke happens to be going on in the background.
After the $3 PBR special ended, I found the drinks to be a tad pricey. Â But it wasn't unreasonable. Â
This "stripper pole" I read so much about was not there. Â It must have recently been taken down. Â
All in all, I enjoyed my first time here and will certainly be back on a week night sometime for karaoke.
The Good Nite is a small bar located in a random place with weird parking. This is so not my scene at all. I didn't see a sign, but I imagine the maximum occupancy is about 50.
Good points:
There is TONS of seating
Drinks are pretty strong
3 bartenders for 50 people means pretty quick service
Good music once the DJ got the vibe of the crowd
Cute little VIP booth w/ free reservation available
Small parking lot in back and tons of street parking
Two words: Stripper pole
Bad points:
TINY
That stripper pole? It's about 2 ft from the DJ
Bartenders are still learning- didn't know some drinks
One stall in women's restroom- which you'd be stuck in if more than two girls were waiting outside the door
Odd points:
The men here are weird. One followed me around all night not talking but just staring at me from 2 ft away, another wouldn't make eye contact with ANYONE
They were playing Misery on the two large movie screens. MISERY. WTF?
Overall: I'd go back if it was with a small group and I happened to be in the area. This is not a place for a party, though.
It's a 3 star for now because I haven't been here enough times to be in love with it. Typical bar in the Valley. Karaoke, more like CANTraoke. Some people just need to sing along rather than getting up there looking like a complete dumb ass.
- Yes, girl with the glasses and a fat friend dancing around you!
Anyway, the white dude singing all the 'Girl who is you playin ? Back that ass up' was cool with me :)
The bartender Ray is my favorite. He makes my beaner ass some bomb ass micheladas :) anddddd, he's nice. Also, looks like he can put someone in a cobra-hold. Aka, stronger than a choke hold. Just saying.
kbye :)
A place to have a good night this is not. Good night is no bueno.
Too small. Entire joint was the size of the living room in my apartment. Location was ghetto. Use the buddy system walking from your car to the front door to protect yourself from being mugged or raped.
Crowd..not sure, because the birthday girls friends pretty much comprised 90% of it. The other 10% were fat chicks who swung on the stripper pole by the DJ booth and a few dudes. I felt sorry for the DJ. My friend & I got into a verbal fight gone bad in the 1-stall having bathroom. I'm a lover, not a fighter but I'm going to defend myself and put a bitch in her place if she goes and tries to ruin a perfectly civilized night. Number 1: Stop hating. Number 2: Handle your liquor, girls. Being that I've only been provoked 1 other time in my life, it goes to show what kind of skeezy breezies come around these parts.
The only positives I can say about the place is the bartenders were nice, the shot specials ($3 kamikazes) were a sweet deal and they did the whole birthday shout out thing with the neon board & all. Although, the DJ kept mispronouncing my friends name until I went up to correct him. "It's JOAN, not "Jo-Ann."
Thanks, but no thanks. I'd rather have a good night in bed than waste a perfectly good night over here.
I've been to some pretty trashy places... I'm talking about illegal Rattle Snake fighting in the back and everything (just kidding but almost!) but this one really takes the price.
After walking by the Alcoholics Anonymous meeting taking place next door, we were a bit hesitant towards walking into this DIM and BARE room.
It was completely empty, except for a bartender with an extremely shitty disposition. She quickly scanned over our IDs and told our Mexican friend (age 22) that hers was not valid because she couldn't understand it....that has never, ever happened to me before anywhere else.
We headed straight for the door after that, but not before I made a note of the poorly stocked bar and the bathrooms which reeked of chlamydia.
Please, don't waste your time driving out here. There is nothing for anyone at this place.
Friday night at party time: driving on north bound 101. So wrong to watch the lighted exit signs for Sunset and Hollywood come and go. I've only been to NoHo to look at cars for sale, and even that wasn't an enjoyable experience.
Driving down Burbank blvd: So gutter, so ghetto, so hood. So gully, so grimey, no good!
Cheap drinks, and the interior decor/layout was decent. And the local crowd was aite, some did come with the positive Black Eyed Peas tood. DJ was decent enough to keep a lot of the drunks in the proper mood. Twas bit of a sausage fest, and most of the guys looked not even past their low 20s. Could this be cougar hunting turf?! I ordered an $8 long island and it arrived clearish looking.
Best be careful when relieving oneself, even ladies can get sucker punched while freshening up.
Tiny little local bar that is great for a cheap drinks or for bringing a bunch of your friends if you want an intimate (opposite from Hollywood) thing. Â My friend planned her bday bash here and we had pretty much the entire place to ourselves :) The d.j. took our requests and keep playing an eclectic mix of danceable grooves...it was a great time! The stripper pole was put to good use as several people began to serenade the bday girl with their sultry moves. The few locals that wondered in that night were perplexed to see the place so crowded but they didn't seem to mind as this is a chill place with a casual vibe. Another plus was that the staff and bartenders were quick and friendly. I would def grab a drink here when you are ready to unwind and enjoy the company of the people you are with.
P.S. Free street parking around the quiet neighborhood :)
I'm so glad to have moved back to the Studio City/NoHo/VV area, as it's full of great little spots like the Good Nite!
I went in with a friend on a Thursday night, around 9 PM and the place was pretty empty. Drinks were strong, and fairly inexpensive considering that the place is pretty done up and cool- definitely not a dive!
Within an hour or so the place filled up, I don't know if it was a bachelorette party or what, but there was a big group of girls doing shots and dancing. All in all, a fun place to drink and dance a little, I'll definitely be back!
Definitely a solid 3 1/2 stars. Why?
*Tuesday night: 2 for 1 ALL NIGHT LONG.
*We were the only group there from opening (7:30) until around 9 when some guys in Good Nite baseball jerseys arrived
*Stripper pole! which sadly saw no use while I was there
*Great bartender. Plus, I liked her tattoos
*Parking right in front of the place. I tend to have good parking karma, but never like this for a bar.
*Lakers eked out the win over Denver while I was there.
Even though it's way too far away from me to be a regular destination, this was an excellent choice for a chill weekday post-work meet up.
This place is great, and located not too far from my house. I came here on a Wednesday night with some fellow Yelpers.
Each night they have different things going on, which I love. Wednesday Night was one of their Karaoke nights, and I was persuaded to sing a duet with the lovely Victoria C. The ambiance is all black inside, with a little white thrown in - very Art Deco. Their drink prices are great, and parking is plentiful the surrounding neighborhood.
I ordered not one, but two of their Chocolate Martinis...absolutely Excellent. It was that chocolate alcoholic dream that I have searched longingly for-strong and sweet, but not overpowering. I also tried a Raspberry Martini that the unforgettable Kristy C. had - it was good, but tasted a little like it came from a juice box. The well drinks were also pretty good.
Highlights of the Evening:
Fire Breathing Bartenders - 4 Stars
Singing "Summer Days" from Grease with Victoria C. - 5 Stars
Chocolate Martinis - 5 Stars
Ally B's breasts - 6 Stars
I've been here twice, but the place hasn't really grown on me yet. The first time, we walked in, and then we walked right out. This last Saturday night, we stayed for a while.
We got a seat at the bar, the drinks were pretty strong and served by a really nice and beautiful bartender.
I was drunk, but I do remember the music was good, and the lights over the bar were a bit too bright.
Decided I'd had enough of the place when I was walking back from the bathroom and got hit in the head by a guy swinging on the stripper pole.
The Good Nite bar. A little unsuspecting bar in a chill neighborhood. Who knew? I sure didn't.
It's not in my usual hood. It's not Hollywood. It's not on Sunset and it doesn't have a guestlist. Man. I definitely had a great time though!!!!!!! IT JUST HIT THE SPOT.
Good music off and on through the night.
People dancing.
Had a great dance off!
Stripper pole which I do not know how to swing on. (Must learn!)
Good amount of seating.
Tables outside where people can put their head down when they're wasted.
Curb where loved ones can throw up. (Nevermind, everywhere has that I guess).
Just an overall good time. An unpretentious, chill night with some dancing which topped the night off perfectly.
:) Great memories. I'm a fan!
This was the spot that Oscar's karaoke-less UYE ended up and it was fun.
The location seems very random but it's a good place to have fun with friends. It's a bit small but the interior is pretty nice and has a lounge type of look and vibe.
The drinks were pretty damn strong (pretty cheap) and the bartenders were hot. For all you that love those poles, there's a stripper pole right next to the DJ so you can work it (or try to). haha...
But the DJ that night worked it well and everyone was having a good time listening to some nice beats.
I'd definitely go back if the opportunity came again.
The glories of this place have been well documented by my fellow Yelpers. Great art deco style, Nintendo Wii, stripper pole, really nice fire-breathing bartender/owner who's at the ready with a drink suggestion and a crazy generous pour.
I'd like to elaborate on the fire-breathing aspect. Yeah, he does it. Yeah, it's pretty awesome. But what the others haven't covered is that I was there one night when he was gracious enough to do it... IN FRONT OF SIX PEOPLE. Six. That's a pretty cool guy in my book.
I mean, I don't know how to spit a vortex of fire literally ten feet across a room, but if I did, I guarantee you I'd save that shit for special occasions. Weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, Christmas morning and nothing less than standing room only in the bar.
Not him. It was early on a Sunday, just one couple, some straggler and my buddy and I in the bar. My buddy hadn't even finished asking about the fire-breathing when the dark room exploded in shimmering orange light and our eyebrows singed just enough for me to remember I was truly alive. Yeah.
Side note: They have a specials menu and on it is a pear-martini type concoction called the Good Nite Kiss. Of course, my friend had to order it, but instead of asking for it by name he pointed and requested the "pear martini." Now, if you're a grown man drinking a pear flavored drink in public, the least you can do is have the balls to look the man making it in the eye and tell him you'd like a Good Nite Kiss. Seems only fair.
This bar definitely delivers a GOOD night. Â I have attended two events here in the last few weeks.
Weds - Karaoke was very entertaining, free admission, $5 Good Night Kiss (a yummy vodka concoction), and fire breathing intermissions. Â I've NEVER seen THAT at a bar before. Â
This past Saturday, we descended in group form without forewarning and they accommodated us well.  The music was a mix of old school 80s rock, alternative, hip hop.  I loved it!!!  I danced quit a bit.  Again, no cover, decent drink prices, and we even did a big group Irish Car Bomb chug together - fun.  I hate to admit that I think I finished first in the group of 8 despite the fact that I was doing it  (it = the bomb... no euphemism.. it's a drink) with 5 guys. Â
The decor is cool, dimly lit, nice long bar /island in the middle of the floor, a small stage and a bit of room in front for dancing, plenty of sitting space. Â The staff and bar tenders are cool, but you can tell they know how to sling their liquor like a classic cowboy in a shoot out - FAST!
Don't let the location - i.e., North Hollywood - fool you. Â This is a great little bar with a variety of entertainment. Â It's just east of Burbank and T.Lake. Â Parking was free on the street without any problem (except that DAMN sprinkler's that ruined my freshly done detailed car wash. Â My poor baby has spots now.... But, that has nothing to do with the bar. Â Just had to vent. Â Sorry!).
Good Nite? No... GREAT NITE at the Good Nite Bar in NH. Like.. WOW.
Oscar's UYE at the Good Nite Bar last night was SUPERB. I came in thinking, "hmm a bar in NH... hmmm, hmmm..." But as soon as I got in and greeted all the fellow Yelpers and Yelpettes; I immediately went to the bar and ordered an AMF and a Washington Apple Martini for my hun. To my surprise the drinks were pretty stiff at an average price. Hey as long as its strong, I don't give a damn how much it is. (Well.. actually I do)
The place is not too big but it sure can accommodate for us Yelpers. The DJ was spinnin some nice tunes, bartenders were on the spot, the stripper pole didn't seem to have any stripper juice on it and they had a nice ambiance in the place. Security was chill too, good peeps all over this place.
We stayed til closing and danced our arses off. Shelley, Laura, Erika and of course CJ J were dancing like there was no tomorrow. I give this two stiffs UP. :)
Great turn out and great bar. :)
Thanks Oscar for hosting this shiznitz YO.
What can I say. Â I stopped in here late last night . Â It was about 12:30am and not crowded at all. Â Honestly, I was pretty drunk when I stumbled through the door, but here is what I remember:
Since it was post-birthday celebration, my friends ordered me a vodka soda and WOW, it was strong. Â The bar itself is pretty, kinda loungey. Â I truly like the decor and would have enjoyed it more if I wasn't in a party time mood. Â And what other bar, besides a strip club, has a stripper pole on the dance floor?? Â No, folks, I did NOT dance on it....savin it for next time. Â HA! Â The "crowd" was a mix. Â There were a few people dancing, but most everyone was mellow. Â
Small place, but could be big fun when it's busy. Â Guess I'll have to go back and re-review when it's more crowded.
Warning!!!!
Do not enter this bar if you are wearing lots of hairspray.
With the fire-breathing bartenders, your hair could go up in seconds!!!!! Poof!!!!
This is a cool bar. Â The decor is cool, the bartenders are cool yet hot at the same time (pun intended) and the drink specials are great! I wouldn't say my drinks were super strong but getting a well drink in a big glass for three bucks is like totally rad! (Remember people, I'm from the Valley)
I aslo had the Peach Martini (the Good Nite Kiss) and it was really good. And only 5 bucks!!!
The highlights of this place:
-the stripper pole
-the karaoke
-lots of seating
-well drinks are served in big glasses
-fire-breathing bartenders
I really enjoyed this bar! I like how dark it is, and the blue crushed velvet on the walls in the little nook by the door. They are a smaller bar than I expected, but surprisingly housed a lot of Yelper's with ease.
The bar tenders were fast and attentive to everyone. They make this drink called a Good Night Kiss that I fell in love with. And the fire breathing! That was hot....literally!
The karaoke selections were good. And that night there were a lot of good singers.
And theres a stripper pole?!?! Â Alright!
I like the bar and will most likely revisit this place in the future.
I must say I was a little bit weary when we pulled up.."Oh, No. Another small bar near the valley" is what I was thinking. Â It's was the new CM's welcome party that Aunny was throwing and I was perplexed at why this bar's lucky number came up.
But as we walked in we all changed our minds in an instance, it had Aunny written all over it: Cool, dark, ready to party and really good Karaoke (and I'm not just saying that. They had a rockin' selection of up to date jams). We all breathed a sigh of relief and let our hair down with the $3.00 well drinks!
It was a shiny long affixed thing to the ceiling and floor near the karaoke that really got my attention. I went up to it, put my hands on it noticing it's shiny surface, was in awe and thought Yeah! The famous stripper pole! Stripper pole dancer and gang rapper karaoke? It was a secret wet dream come true for my inner playboy 'girl next door' just dying to get out. Lucky thing I had a dress on and couldn't test the waters otherwise people would of had tales to tell the next day since I was drinking whiskey. Even the yelp guys got into the action (thank you Chico for making my night with your dancing ha ha ha).
Sarah the new CM is going to do just great. Â Let's hope she can pick places that are suited to Yelpers tastes (meaning good tunes and strong drinks) but then again we know she's going to do amazingly. After all she has a great teacher - Aunny!
The Good Nite bar lived up to its name. Â Come with good friends, come for strong drinks, karaoke and a stripper pole .... you'll be sure to leave having a good time. Â
I have some friends that live in NoHo and I told them to meet up with me here and when they got here, the first thing they asked was "How the fuck did you find this place?" Â All I could say was "Yelp of course." Â To my surprise one of them actually heard of Yelp before .... so I say "sign up biatch"
Inside The Good Nite, there's enough room to sit at the bar, stand around, dance if you so feel like it, sing your heart out or just sit and chat with your friends. Â There's no cover to get in, plenty of street parking and a spot next door if you get hungry.
Definitely a good local spot to just chill and hang out! Â If you live in the area.....check it out!
If I have the time, I tend to research the places I go to before hand (i.e. look at the pictures of the place so I will recognize it when I get there). Â I noted the large "Good Nite" sign and hoped for the best as I trekked to NoHo. Â
For some odd reason, I completely missed the fact it was a karaoke bar. Â Damnit, I wouldn't have come. I hate karaoke. Â Seriously! Â Even for all the cool people I hung out with last night! Â Even for a stripper pole which you will never see me testing out. Â You can't get me drunk enough. Â
But for a karaoke bar, I couldn't hear the music. Â And we really needed it to understand some of the songs that were sung. Â The noise level went from fine at 9 p.m. to unbearable by 10:30 p.m. Â Which would make sense because suddenly it seemed like the bar was packed.
And there was usually only one bartender on duty. Â Jason was great but it was obvious he needed more help. Â Disgruntled boozers were only pacified with a couple of fire breathing antics. Â I did like the fact they gave me a pint glass of water when I asked for it. Â Some bars give you the dinkiest glasses when you get water (or demand you buy a bottle) so that was cool Good Nite is a bit more generous.
Wednesdays are $3 well cocktail nights. Â After three of those well vodka tonics, I still have a headache over 18 hours later. Â I would do call drinks at this bar from now on as it's really not that much more. Â Actually, my last drink was a Ketel One tonic and I could taste the difference immediately.
Lighting was horrible here. Â We looked like we were zombies and I found the table in the middle of the room an awkward way to separate the room. Â Sure, people could crowd around and look at the karaoke song list but it made traversing the bar difficult. Â
There's a private booth in the corner where some went to escape the madness but there is plenty of seating against the wall. Â I thought the square bar stools were interesting but most of the time, they were pushed against the bar and somewhat heavy to pull forward. Â
The restrooms are separated by a heavy door from the bar but in the restroom, the actual stall had a short door that weren't tall enough. Â I could see the person moving around and I'm sure other saw me too. Â
Overall, I had a good time with my friends but I didn't like this bar. Â What's good is it's cheap, decent street parking and next to place that serves tacos (though they're not open late and were closed when I left at 12:30 p.m.)
2.5 stars
I love Good Nite Kisses!
Stripper pole...check!
Karaoke...check!
Rad Art Deco design...check!
Awesome bartenders who blow fire and pour awesome drinks...check!
Plenty of comfortable seating, standing room, FREE parking...check!
I'm a big fan of the Good Nite. Especially when you're there with a bunch of really amazing people! Thanks for the great time last night Raj, Jason and everyone else at the Good Nite!
I think a lot of the reviews here are from current employees or "friends of the bar." Â Not a bad place, but hardly the "best time" as described by some of the reviews.
Red Bull on the gun amounts to a taste that crosses Listerine with a wet bar rag. Drinks were not as cheap as you would be led to believe. I noticed that the bartenders were very inconsistent on what they charged. Sorry, but if you're not that good looking, you're going to pay more. Â And later on as the evening went on, the owner seemed to be more interested in partying with his friends, doing a zillion shots with them while they didn't pay a dime, and me and my friends waiting for our drinks while they partied.
I suspect that the owner, who's trying to be a cool club owner, should pay attention more to his business than his friends.
But then again, this is NoHo, and seems everybody who owns a bar thinks that it's Sunset. Drop the attitude...it's still NoHo.
Good night indeed. Ok, so clearly if you read my reviews on a regular basis, you know I'm a bit of a lush. But I'm usually doing this drinking of liquor in a neighborhood that I cannot call my own. I can't exactly call North Hollywood my own either, but I am in Burbank more than I am in my own neighborhood so having this bar about 5 minutes from it is a true blessing. 2 for 1 cocktails on Tuesdays, $3 well drinks on Wednesdays? Let's just say my chances for purity and sobriety just took a nosedive.
But that's cool, 'cause this place was great. Clean decor, friendly chatty bartender, drinks strong enough to give me permasmile after just two Tom Collinses, getting to pick inane but hilarious Zoolander as the movie to play on screens on either side of the bar, and great music mean that this place seems to have found its footing and I am praying it sticks around long enough for me to have a few more nights of 4 good drinks for $18 including tip.
