This place rocks. Â I have used them for the family dinner and also for parties. Â I really like thier regular pizza. Â My wife loves the pan (spinach). Â Â Â The party pizza is a great deal and feeds twice as many as they say. Â The kids LOVE the Goode & Fresh soda. Â They love the blueberry, and I like the black cherry. Â The chicken fingers are great for the kids. Â Â Good meat.
We have ordered sandwhiches and salads occasionally, and they are good too, but the pizza always suffices.
The service is the best. Â I have never had a wrong order, or had to wait for the pick-up. Â The occasional delivery is perfect and quick. Â The owners are always there and are involved in the community. Â A glenview icon!
Ordered the giant party pizza today and it was a rave review. Â Meat on one side and vegetarian on the other. The party pizza really does feed 10-12 adults+
The crust is different than the other places we order from and substantial but not overwhelming.
Also ordered the wings and they had a good kick to them. Â Everything was hot, crispy and delicious.
Actually, we did call the owners to complain about the wrong delivery and then an undercooked mess of a pizza they sent as a replacement and they were nothing but rude to us. Â All they needed to say was a simple "I'm sorry," but they refused. Â Terrible food and customer service. Â My child was hungry after a trans-continental flight and when we arrived they sent us a sausage pizza (we are vegetarians!) - after waiting an hour, we peeled off the sausage so she could eat it and when they finally arrived with our cheese pizza (that was undercooked and soggy) they wanted the original pizza back. Â We gave it back but when they saw that my daughter had eaten a couple of pieces (of which we had peeled off the sausage), they said, "We can't take this back!" Were they going to give it back to the original customer? Â Yuck! Â
We have ordered from here before as we make this trip every year, but never again. Â Terrible food and customer service. Â Can't believe they've been in business this long; must be going downhill.
I just tried this tonight as the manager insisted I do. Â Because nobody sells any gluten free in town or within a 15mr. Â They are all out of business. Â Too bad because most people don't even know what gluten is. Â So it was really good and just the right size. Â Now I have to stop by and try the 14 inches. Â Thanks, 5 stars.
Review Source:OMG I'm so excited Pizza Bakery is still around I used to order from them the day they opened back in 1983! Even after moving away from Chicago, I'd take stuffed pizzas back home to Steamboat Springs or Los Angeles.
I'm hoping to return back to Chicago and know I'll be stopping in within weeks of my arrival!

We just had a family get together following a funeral service. We wanted good chicken, pasta, salad, pizzas. All were excellent. The chicken was seasoned to perfection and the salad was outstanding. The pizza? Great, with a zesty, flavorful sauce. Love that they deliver and will definitely become a regular customer.

Review Source:I went there recently with a Yelp deal, and got the gyros. Â They were as good as the best gyros at specialty joints. Â Their food is pretty consistent--good pizza, decent sandwiches/entrees.
When you call to order, Jay's recordings greet you, describing in adjective-laden detail what he is pushing for the day. Â Kudos to Jay for telling you how to escape by pressing zero twice!
This is the standard by which I judge my deep dish Pizza. It's the seasonings in the sauce which make or break the Pizza. Yes, I used to be a Glenview Local. But I still get pies from Jay whenever I can. I have even tried to talk him into FedEx'ing them to me in California, but he won't.
Dough is hand made on premises daily. Toppings are fresh and full of flavor.
Put it this way - I have taken frozen pies from Goode & Fresh back home with me on an airplane, cooked them in my own oven after having them frozen for a couple weeks - and they still taste great. I take them to work and people want more. I share them with the in-laws and they want more.
It's almost enough to make a guy pack up and move back home...
I've had both the Pizza and fried chicken from here.  The chicken was too greasy and the potato wedges implied baked, but were fried.  The Pizza is  a square shaped and Pan.  Its good, but like Rick said, nothing to go out of your way for.  The best thing about G&F is that they make their own soft drinks.  Their Root Beer is very good.  A great place to order from for large groups.
Review Source:When I was growing up this was the place to order from. Â It really is a glenview area loyalist kinda pizza place. Â I'm on the verge of 4 stars, but it really doesn't make it there as it's not so good I would go out of my way to eat there (ala pequods). Â BUT, if you live in or near glenview, this is really about the finest in the area. Â Jay run's a great opearion and the full menu is not to be missed. Â It'sot just pizza folks, subs and appetizers rank up there too. Delivery is usually pretty fast. Â my favorite pizza here is probably the baby pan pizza's. Â Those get 4 stars independantly.
