I was a very big fan of this sushi place because I thought staffs were nice and place was neat. I enjoyed delicious maki and other dishes. However, one day, the server spill the full glass of iced water on my dress. My bottom part was wet for whole time I was eating. The server said sorry for couple times. That was it... i mean... My parents even gave them a tip. Â Another day, I visited this place again because my brother wants to eat dragon roll
We ordered a full size dragon roll and the WHOLE plastic waste was found. I know that the plastic is probably from eel packing stuff. The plastic  size was about the iphone. I regret that i did not take picture of it and upload to my facebook or something. Server let us eat anyway after they took the plastic away. And they still charge for the dish. I just paid the total amount and left zero tip. They did not say anything when we leave. The point here is that ... you may not get any compensation even though you were served awfully. Hate this place. Bitterly disappointed.
What a great sushi place! Â The restaurant is convenient for lunch and not too crowded before 12/12:30 during the typical lunch rush. Â The dining room is pretty small in general and it's certainly has basic decor. Â That doesn't matter much as the food is excellent - especially the fish which is fresh and tasty!
There are several lunch options available for sushi and rolls as well as other typical Japanese dishes. Â They are reasonably priced between $10-15 - which would include a roll and 4 pieces of sushi. Â There house rolls are OK - I've made my way through much of the list and there are some great ones - the dynamite roll and other no-so-great - the Galapagos roll. Â It depends on your taste and expectations in terms of flavor and texture. Â The common theme is that the fish is fresh and their rice is also made properly which adds to the flavor of the sushi and rolls.
Highly recommend Noburi for a no-frills solid sushi option in the north suburbs.
I went in during lunch and had the sushi lunch special. Â I had no issues getting a seat at the bar. Â And the food was very good considering this was in IL. Â (I've had better sushi in CA and NJ.) Â Normally, I'd give this place 4 stars, but since this is the best sushi I've had in IL, I'm giving it 5 stars.
(Sorry for the short review; I actually eat here about a year ago and forgot to submit my review. Â I haven't been back since only because this place is a bit out of my way.)
