Stopped in Grami Friday night after shopping with my friend. We wanted a drink and some food before heading out to meet other friends. Once we were seated, it took quite a while for a waitress to come and take our drink order. Later, my friend ordered chicken wings and they were out. Then she ordered a burger with regular fries (as opposed to sweet potato fries). The burger came later with half cooked bacon and tater tots [no fries]. I ordered nachos, which were incredibly dry so I sent them back. After being asked multiple times if I'd like something else, I acquiesced to the hunger pangs and the pressure and ordered bacon tots. THEY NEVER CAME. The guy who I can only assume is the manager offered to buy us a round of sangria as an apology. THEY NEVER CAME. After talking with the waitress, they removed the food we'd sent back [the burger and the nachos], but she refused to remove the tater tots that never came. Her reason? "I already took off the burger." Excellent customer service, eh?
We couldn't get out of this place fast enough.
They have beer, they were in a good location for me.
If your greatest accomplishment as a bar is that you serve drinks, then you might need to work on it. Â It seemed to be a decent atmosphere, but I was also there on a holiday. Â My service was good, for a bar. Â I have to admit that I have a completely different standard of service for a bar, particularly when crowded.
Missing a star b/c the service was a little slow, BUT I think it's part of the laid back feel of the restaurant. Â Still would have liked some quicker service. Â I loved the atmosphere here. Â It was a great place to grab drinks and not deal with excessive noise and people. Â I could come here with a group of people or just on a date. Â I loved that I was there on a Friday night and the waitress said "We have $12 pitchers of sangria tonight". Â The sangria was delicious - a variety of options - peach, mango, strawberry etc... white & red. Â Most importantly, the pitcher was a legit pitcher and not the bs little pitcher you often get from places with specials. Â
Across the street from Volare a great Italian restaurant.
I'll be back to Grami again.
