    Great service!!

Happy hour have some good deals on drinks and food but mixed drinks (cocktails) were rather pretty weak. I suggest you take beer.

    - Complimentary bread: Warm sourdough bread. Ask for it.

    - Shrimp in the appetizer and taco was basically the same kind of shrimp. I suggest you get shrimp taco since it seems to be a better deal.

    - French onion soup was OK but not enough cheese.

    - Flatbread: during happy hour, it's $6. good deal and it's pretty tasty.

    - Filet mignon: pretty big portion and decent mashed potato.

    Good and vibrant ambiance.

Come by after work with your coworkers or have a fun date night.

We went here for lunch and were very satisfied. I had the filet, mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese. It was delicious. Our server was busy but maintained her tables. I'll definitely be back.

We did go back the next day and were pleasantly surprised to find a brunch buffet. It was wonderful and only $13.95. There was a fresh made omelette and pasta station, prime rib, hash browns, bacon, sausage, waffles, caramel rolls and a few other items, Overall, a great experience once again.

Nice food and nice atmosphere but way too pricy for what you get. Way too much for a lunch.

Great menu.  Love coming here for lunch and sitting in the bar.  Very nice staff.  It is very busy, though, so be prepared to wait if you don't come early.  The patio during warm months is great and they have the game "bags" out back to play too.  Great beer selection.

With other options in Fargo, I will stay clear of this place in the future.  When we arrived, we were told that there would be a 35 minute wait.  No matter how pleasant the hostesses were, we were disappointed to have to wait about an hour to be seated.  After that, we waited while the hostess brought menus--I guess most people eat the brunch on Sunday, which looked like standard fare.

After we ordered, it took another 30 minutes to get our food.  The waitress took her time on pretty much everything, so ordering also took a long time.  Once it had been a half an hour to get the food, we asked the waitress about it.  Surprise, it was ready.  The only thing was, the food was cold.  So, the kids ate the cold food, but my husband and I sent ours back.  This time, still cold, and now many of the vegetables were brownish colored and the taste, not good because all of the odd-tasting sauce was at the bottom.  Clearly microwaved because the edges of the food were hot, the middle was not.   I watched everyone else eat, but since my food was still cold, and now, looked kind of gross, I didn't eat.

This was our second trip to Granite Brewery.  Last time, it was ok-not great, so we thought we'd give it a second chance.  Never again.

I've been to other Granite City locations before, so I knew what to expect - good food, a slight twist on the standards, good beer, and decent service. For the most part, this location delivers - the food was as great as I remembered. There was a brunch buffet, but I opted for the soup-and-sandwich option (French onion and prime rib, respectively).

My only complaint is that service was not so good. It took so long for the waitress to come to get my drink order that I (who usually takes 10-15 minutes to decide what to eat) read the menu twice, decided my order, and started reading. I was close to walking out and going to TGIFriday's or Chilis (just up the street), but fortunately, didn't need to.

Get the flight!  It's all 5 of their microbrews, plus 3 extra mixes of different types. Cheaper than a single, and you get to sample everything. Reminds me of the Heartland Brewery in NYC.

The sticky wings are great - reminds me of Thai chili wings. And the spinach and cheese dip is delicious. People liked the bread.

I tried the ribeye (the steakhouse we were going to was closed) which was so-so, and the mushrooms were too salty when ordered at the side. Other dishes like the Korean tacos, sandwiches, and chicken looked better... next time!

Staff was pretty good at splitting checks and also keeping us topped with water and drinks.

Korean Tacos in Fargo?  Yup and it was pretty good!
Three mini taco's with shredded pork and the menu said korean sauce, lol, it was terriyaki - at least it tasted like terriyaki sauce.  There was also a sliced cucumber salad with a tangy vinegar and sesame oil that was really good. My eating partners had the honey rosemary tenderloin salad. Huge portions and plenty of extras for every bite.

Service was great.  Atmosphere was casual and can get loud.  Plenty of people at the bar area. This place is very similar to BJ's brewhouse that we have in the west coast.

Was in Fargo on business and checked out this chain microbrewery on 1/10/12.  I got a dinner and the sampler beer flight.  Here are my impressions:

    1.  Menu is very similiar to Iron Hill Brewery where I live in Lancaster, PA.  Iron Hill is also a chain brewpub restaurant with locations in southeast PA.  The layout of both restaurants is also similiar.  In fact it is like Iron Hill in a lot of ways except for the fact that Iron Hill has great food and good micro beer whereas this place has good food and mediocre beer.  Still considering this is Fargo "Chain restaurant capital of the world", ND I consider this place to be an OK choice.  The black bean chili was excellent:  fresh, spicy & flavorful.  Good mix of ingredients and rice was fluffy.

    2.  Younger crowd.  Most are dressed in collared shirts, jeans and boots like me.  Restaurant area pretty empty (it is 9PM).  95 percent guys.

    3.  "Two Pull" beer is bland and tasteless.  Also seemed kind of skunky like Red Dog.

    4.  "Wheat beer" is pretty bland too and not very flavorful.  Bias alert: I am not that big a fan of wheat beer in general.

    5.  "Oktoberfest" was good but too light as well.  Leinenkugel's in WI is still my favorite although in reality any Oktoberfest works for me.

    6.  "Benedict Bock" is above average.  It is enjoyable and you can tell they put some effort into it.  My pick of the litter.  Get a full glass if you can.

    7.  "Stout" was also solid and above average; also worth getting individually.  Goes down smooth.

    8.  "Duke of Wellington" IPA was ok but nothing that would make me buy the glass individually.

    9.  "Specialty double IPA" was flavor and strong.  I really enjoyed it and would get a full glass if I didn't have to drive.

    10.  "Light lager" was piss.  Don't even bother with it.

I'm always seeking out breweries and brewpubs I've never been to. I gravitate to the independent and unique first, but hours and my schedule sometimes overrides this. Having said that, this place is a bit disappointing. Very nice and clean, with a feel of an Applebee's with a corporate crowd.
Being a brewpub, I eye the beer first. The beer is mediocre. I try around 300 new beers a year and theirs is easy at the bottom of the list.
The staff is nice, plentiful and at your beckoning call. We were treated very nicely and were even given a "Hospitality VIP" card.
Food was OK. Not great but not bad. Nice presentation.
Nice place, just not my style. 3.5 stars if they made better beer.

Fantastic Sunday Brunch for approximately $14 per person.  We did have to wait about 20 minutes to get seated as it was quite crowded around 1:OO pm which is prime time.  The caramel rolls are brought out fresh to the table and were darn yummy.  The buffet is a bit meat and potato heavy, but that is not necessarily a bad thing.  We are new to the area and this will definitely be a place we will return to often.

This is a weekly visit for us.  The food is good and we love to sit outside in the summer.  Service can be a bit slow from time to time but we still keep coming back.  The beer is always cold.  I suggest becoming a mug club member.  Cheaper beer and food.  Also your beer comes in the large mugs.

One note:  This is a microbrewery so try a micro brew!  You can get your bottle of whatever another night.

I have finally visited North Dakota and it was awesome. We stayed at the Ramada out by the mall.  Across the street in the mall parking lot was this brew pub thing called Granite City.  It was a thursday evening around 5:00 pm. We were given a menu  with their select beer choices from which I could remember were a lager, bock, pale ale, stout and a mix between the bock and the pale ale. We were given samples of all except the stout. Very good beer, yet the pale ale was a little too hoppy for my taste buds.

Anyways, we ordered two 20 ounce glasses for around $5 bucks and then I turned and saw a women drinking a pitcher by herself and thought thats not something you see everyday. So I glanced over and saw a specials menu (of which the server did not tell me about but no biggy since I found it anyways) and discovered on thursdays it was $6 PITCHER NIGHT! So we then took down way too many pitchers, but they were amazing. Oh yeah, they also had $6 flat bread pizza from 4 until 6. This was way more than any appetizer I've had before. The Granite City Food & Brewery might be in a mall parking lot, but the place is extremely nice. It felt a little "ASPenish" by decor only. Many people of all ages even kids. Great beer, great food and soooo inexpensive (I guess on thursdays (:)!

P.S. Our server Carry? was extremely nice

    Great food and awesome beers.

I've been here multiple times and am always trying new foods. It is all delicious. This place would've been 5 stars but my burgers have come overdone a couple of times.

Brunch here is also amazing. Plenty of good food: eggs, caramel rolls, fruit... You can order bottomless Mimosas.

They also have a patio here which is great during the summer time.

Food was average. Service was great and friendly. I thought I was getting more of a steak place and ended up with more bar food than I expected but that could be more to my hotel's description than the reality. I'd go again, but it wouldn't be my first consideration.

On my way to a movie one late thursday night my gf suddenly crave for food. Considering that this restaurant is the closest to the cinema we decided to stop in and dine in before we make it to the movie. What can I possibly say? Considering how slow they cook our food we have to turn down any thought of watching any movie, It takes them 25 minutes to get my food done. We order the Fillet Mignon and Shrimp. Although the shrimp was great the Fillet Mignon was far from desirable. I hate rubbery steak, I get that here and thats not good. Their italian nachos pretty good though, although their portion are absurds. I mean, absolutely ginormous portions. Drinks are so so. Service obviously not that great. If you are waiting on a movie and decide to pop in for dinner, make sure you are an hour earlier. I have to wait till next week to watch that movie now.

the portions are bound to make you gain a few lbs if you dare to eat all in one sitting. If you did.... you might be a husky timberlogger! take it easy cheif. the portions are enough for leftovers. food is pretty good, but nothing exceptional.

So apparently I am a sucker of places that remind me of home, and the same holds true for my family.... we're all about the Granite State, so we made plans to stop at Granite City on our journey to No. Dak.

It was decent, a very helpful waitress who tried to familiarize us with their beer selection, and some tasty food.... however my parents said that theirs was cold when it arrived. Boo.

Also, my brother was sick, and couldn't/wouldn't eat... so that was a downer.

Also, what's with North Dakota and not having any Ginger Ale? This was our first attempt which failed miserably, all they had on the menu was soda water. Buh?

So the other let down were the Growlers. This was one of the main reasons we decided to stop here.... the Growlers, JUST THE GLASS CONTAINERS were $15.50 a piece. Yowza. Add another $9.50, and you can have beer in that container. Eep.

We had ordered two, and when the bill came it was some serious sticker shock. Won't be getting any of those from there again... plus, the beer is okay, not great. And, yes, the containers are nice, sturdy metal handles and nice stoppers, but egads. We got some in St. Louis last spring that were like $13 total, with beer. This just seems obscene.
