The Green Lady

Our local go-to to start off the night or for a night cap. Great beer selection and weekly events. Thrilled this isn't another "college" bar in Lakeview.

This is a good bar. Great for a date if you are a few dates in and vibing your significant other. Went on a Sunday night and it was the perfect atmosphere. At first, we had the place to ourselves, which was nice. We had a beer (excellent selection), then made our way to the darts in the back. Took advantage of having the place mostly to ourselves by feeding the jukebox with tunes we wanted to here. The waitstaff is friendly, laid back, yet also attentive -- plus they liked some of our song picks (bonus!). The crowd grew as we stayed longer. Overall a laid back, fun vibe. Great spot.

These are the kind of bars I like. Laid back, not overly crowded (well, it was on the Saturday night I visited), clean bathrooms (even as it got later in the evening) and an interesting brew list.

GL is a great spot to check out if you're in the mood for microbrews.  The list was huge! They've got them on draft, in the bottle and cans. This place also seems to be the spot for celebratory drinks as I was here to celebrate a birthday and there seemed to be another group celebrating something as evidenced by the food they brought it.  (I guess you can bring food in too!)

Seating--high top tables, stools at the bar and a couch layout. There's also 2 dart boards in the back.

Service was ok. I didn't appreciate my pint glass getting taken away prematurely. Perhaps I'm just used to people asking if I'm done with my drink first. Although once I got my glass of water, someone was coming around often refilling it if needed. By the end of my night, there was a different server that was much nicer and more animated than the server before him.

This place does start to play the music loud as the night moves on, which I think is unnecessary as "dance club" or "rock club" is not the vibe I get from the place.  Drinking and loud conversation. Fun times.
