Recent visit on Sunday to watch Bos vs. Oak. Decent amount of beers on tap and TVs to make sure we saw the game. Decided to have lunch. my grilled ham and cheese was awesome and my husband enjoyed the nachos.
It seems like the place has a large amount of regulars ( the people who wake up int he morning to go sit somewhere and drink) but they were social and harmless. We will be going back soon, maybe on a Friday.
This is a definite improvement over old Prata Bar! They have a large draft selection/very cool set up it doesnt have a ton of character and it is a bit sterile feeling. Bartender was social/made a good Jack/Coke. Tons of Tvs to watch the game also. Its a very clean place I also liked that, I guess I just expected more to look at its very simple/clean/open place.
Review Source:Went for Poker night on Wednesday. Great selection of beers on tap. Â Service. Â Randy behind the bar was friendly, quick, and attentive. Definitely a sports bar feel with televisions all over the place with the Celtics on. Â Much improved from Prata Bar! Â Good crowd for a Wednesday night. Â Will be back to try the food.
Review Source:The most important thing you will notice between the old bar that was here and the new bar is it is clean. Very clean. There looks to be a change of ownership and a large investment in the place. I had a burger and fries and they were served exactly the way you want them at a reasonable price. I did not have a beer because I was having a work lunch but the staff was great. Service was friendly and prompt.
Review Source:A good sports bar with a decent menu and beer selection. As evidenced by the name, its focus is on being a good place to watch a Football game - rather than being just a regular bar that happens to have a couple TVs.
The food is typical sports bar fare - think wings, pizza, burgers, Â potato skins and the like. They also some salads, wraps and other options if that's your thing, and a few actual entrees. They have a good selection of beer, but the focus is definitely on Bud, Coors and such. The prices are good - especially if you're used to Providence prices.
Service is good, and the crowd were all there to watch the game. There weren't any little kids at the bar (which always creeps me out a bit) so it's okay to yell when the football gods bless or curse your team.
