This placed seemed like a hit when we walked in, but unfortunately was not southwestern enough for me. Â Probably because I'm from Arizona, and very few restaurants on the east coast can match the original southwestern cuisine.
The margaritas were good, and the chips (one of the more famous items) were great. Â The food was good, but not seasoned authentically enough and pretty basic.
The biggest problem we had was that we waited for over 50 minutes for our food. Â Even though I was with a party of 5, there were many tables that arrived after us and received food before us. Â Maybe the waitress forgot about our table. Â When the food finally arrived, one of the plates was completely wrong and my friend had to wait another 15 minutes for the right food.
I'd give it another try, but I moved back to the left coast - only authentic for me from now on!
My wife and I  stayed at the Palmer House and the concierge recommended going to Gringo Jack's for dinner, since It was so close we decided to walk down. The place looked cool from the outside  and inside the bar area had 3  TVs  And a large dining room..We hit the bar for pre dinner margaritas and watched the Red Sox game. while we were there it started to rain outside, then thunder and lightning.  We ordered another round of drinks with dinner , the portions were big ,I had the crispy beef tacos and she had Chicken enchiladas  with Mole sauce. Over all it was a good experience. Thank you yo the bartender that had an extra umbrella to give us for our walk back to the motel.
