Great place to relax with a nice pint. I have been to Dublin and this place has a great feel for an Irish pub. The shepherds pies was delicious. I never have a bad pint of Guinness.

There is NOTHING Irish or pub-like about this place! Went there a couple of weeks ago, a few tables needed bussing, and the place wasn't even busy on a Saturday night. The lighting was way too bright (like a cafeteria), a customer at the bar was dropping the "F" bomb in every sentence, and could be heard everywhere. We ordered the salads with grilled tuna. The salads consisted of chopped iceberg lettuce with chopped green peppers (McDonald's has better!) The salmon was small, wafer thin and tasted like jerky. It took at least 10 minutes to get beer refills, so we left. A total waste of time and money........Applebees is twice as good.....what does that say?!

The best part about this bar are the friendly staff that work here. This was smoking but now non smoking and I was actually able to breathe in here unlike several years ago. Bartendar was very nice and efficient, never ran out of a beer before he was coming over. Also the tab was cheap enough for 7 pints and nachos was only 34 bucks. I have to say though that the nachos are NOT good, so order something else.

Free WiFi - in an Irish Pub? At Harp, yes!

Located just off GA 400 at exit 7a.

I've been to this pub several times - many on St. Patrick's Day, when it's busting at the seams.  I wish it had live music more often, though.  That would really add to the ambiance.

The atmosphere seems authentic enough to me - although I've only seen videos, photos, movies etc. of pubs in Ireland.  Lots of dark wood, ancient looking tables, and even a confessional.  Up until recently smoking was permitted but I think now it's not, although it could be that the times I've been in recently have been smoker-free.

It's got a large dark bar along one wall, numerous tables, both high and low, with "community" tables along a couple of the walls.  There's a small stage for when they have live music.  Soccer jerseys festoon the bar area near the ceiling.  I believe it's family-owned, and the family is indeed Irish.

The food has the standards such as fish and chips, which is excellent, sheperd's pie, which is also decent, as well as curry (they were fresh out when I asked for it last time), irish chili (which is really just chili and tortilla chips), bangers and mash (which I've never had), and Beef and Guiness pie (not very exciting but hearty and delicious), irish stew (excellent), along with a few other items.  Food is a bit on the expensive side, but not too bad.  They also serve sandwiches including a hamburger if you want. I've had the steak sandwich several times there and it's pretty good.

Nothing fancy here.  Beer, hearty fare, and authentic Irish Pub atmosphere.

Every time I visit Atlanta (well, Roswell really) I make a visit to Harp. Why? Two words: Irish Breakfast. If you don't know what Irish Breakfast is, take a moment and go look it up on wikipedia. It's ok, I'll wait.

Back already? Excellent. So now you know why my cardiologist shakes his head. Breakfast is an anytime meal, Irish Breakfast doubly so. Thirsty? Wash it down with a pint of Guinness. Or better, my favorite the Black Adder, which is Guinness and Smithwick's. Or Black Castle, which has Guinness and Newcastle. Or anything with Guinness.

    Sláinte.

Have been here a few times, typically on a Thursday evening.  My husband and I really enjoy it.  Friendly service with surprisingly good food.  I have tried the  fish and chips, chicken curry and shepherd's pie, I would recommend them all.   As other reviewers have mentioned, it can be smokey and has a pub atmosphere. But in a good way.

This is by far my favorite irish pub in Georgia. If you desire a crappy chain restaurant and want to pay to look at boobs, then go to the crap hole called Tilted Kilt.

If you want something authentic, then the Harp is for  you. Smoking is permitted which I think adds to the authenticity. Willie poors the best Guinness in Georgia and you can't beat their beef and Guinness pie.

It's been a good while since I was here last - but from what I remember, the place was really neat.  we happened in there on a weeknight - nothing doing and frankly it was pretty dead.  However- our server was a doll and made the experience very enjoyable.  The place definitely looked like it had some soul and that it had the propensity to get pretty lively and cheerful in there on a weekend night.

We will certainly return to this place when in the drinking mood!

This place was my home-away-from home...until it got a wee bit uptight.

now, i head there on a rare occasion - Willie has the best Guinness Pour in the state, so tis a joy to enjoy a pint pulled by him.

the clientele used to tend toward locals and Irish...now it's become rather like Buckhead used to be: snippy broads and their meathead boyfriends...

if you can pull up a stool with the locals, it's worth it

Food is terrible, service is worse. While it's close to me, for an Irish bar, I'd rather drive to Durty Kelly's or Olde Blinde Dog. If you don't order food, perhaps I'd elevate it to two starts.

What friggin attitude this place has.  Cigarette smoke hangs like fog.  The regulars are always rollicking.  It's loud and it's fun.  The Harp signifies the difference between a real Irish pub and the Irish themed pubs that are springing up all around with formulaic insipidness.

The Harp features live music every weekend- Irish and otherwise- usually by Paddy either solo or with the band, Whiskey and Stout ,that brings a southern flair to the standard Irish bar songs.  All excellent musicians.  They have a great open mike on Sunday evenings.

Standard bar food and traditional Irish dishes compose the menu.  The food is always good.  But you get the impression that most people come here to socialize, drink, hear the music, drink, play darts or pool, drink, and call a cab!

    They pour a perfect pint.

For my money, this is the best Irish bar in Atlanta.

They've got a pool table and good service, other than that, not much else to say about the place.

So after a nice time at a Yelp event, we were looking for a place to go.  Harp it was.  Where is it?  Just follow the line of cars.

When I walked in, the smoke hit me.  Woh!  How is it so smoky when there was only 2 other small tables of patrons?  No matter, pretty soon, we took over the place with our rowdy crowd.

By now, I'm a little of everything: tired, tipzy, and a hungry.  Most of the menu looked decent - I say most cause why are there quesadillas in an Irish pub?  Got the chicken fingers and chips.  I assume by chips they meant their Gaelic chips as it was all over the menu.  Now, when I think Gaelic chips, I think house cut, fried thin slices of chips.  Not french fries - which is what I got.  Kind of odd, but no matter, we ate them.  The chicken fingers were pretty good, but I wonder if it's from hunger.  It did have the kind of batter that I like on chicken fingers.

The one thing I can't get is why there isn't any Bulmer's cider in an Irish pub?  That was one of the best things of Ireland minus the fun accents.  I hear you can't get Bulmer's in Georgia, but I think all the Irish pubs of Georgia should get together and change that!!!  I love that stuff!

Now the question is, who branded me with that Yelp sticker?

If your looking for a young and youthfull hangout, this is not the place for you.  But if you are looking for a good rather authentic Irish pub with good Irish fare then this is the place for you.  As a redheaded Irishman I decided to give this place a whirl since its right around the corner from me.  The smoke is a bit much for some people, but as a former smoker didn't bother me.  The food is great, the lamb stew was very good.  And the beer is always flowing.  For Irish transplants there is a thriving Irish community that participates in the community and does different things through here.  Overall a good place for me to go for a pint and some stew.

I kind of really liked this place.  I went there last night with a friend for a pint and some conversation and I was pleasantly surprised.  I love Irish pubs the decor was very homey and we happened to show up on open mike night (Sunday's starting at 6pm).  Which made for an interesting night.  They played Jimmy Buffet in an Irish pub!  Now that's something to have a little giggle about :)  I was a little disappointed by the fact that I was the youngest person in the entire bar though.  This crowd is definitely older but I will definitely come back again and sample the food!

Solid, local Irish pub.  The kitchen closes too early for me at 10 pm and I'm not fond of smoking.  That said, they have some nice entertainment here and a back room for family or non-smoking seating.  Generally, the staff are very nice.

Good local little bar.  They pour a wonderful pint of Guinness.

I've been twice and haven't found it exceptional either time but sure haven't been disappointed either.  The food was better than your usual sports bar or chain.

Try the curry chips.  It's hard to find fresh chips and curry.

Great spot to chill and not so loud you can't have a conversation.

Let me start this review by saying, after living in Roswell for most of my life, I was thinkful that we finally got a decent place to hang out at night.  I believe that Roswell is latin for "city of boredom".  Anywho, I digress.  Harp is actually a good replica of an Irish pub.  With Dark wooden booths, a really large dark bar, and scattered soccer jerseys, you might just think you were in Edinburough. .....if you had enough to drink that is.  Beer selection is broad (but come on you need to order a Harp) and service is pretty good.  They offer some really good pub food for you to enjoy as you wait for your friends to find the place.  The atmosphere gets quite smokey as the night goes on, and could be a drag for those who mind that sort of thing.  There are two pool tables, but good luck ever getting a chance to play on them if you arrive after 8:00pm.  All in all, a good neighborhood pub, with good prices, and beer.   It is made better as it is the only of its type in town.

If you are looking for an excellent pint of Guinness look no further than a strip mall. I know, weird location, but it really is a well loved pub inside. This is a pretty authentic pub for America. They have some great Irish and non Irish local musicians here. The scene is mostly locals; you don't go here to "be seen". Food is good pub fare. I agree with other reviewer, the Guinness chili and particular the Irish stew are excellent. They also make a good burger. It gets REALLY smokey in here so be prepared. The friendly folks and warm atmosphere make up for it.

Where else can you get an Irish lad bloating his own hilarious Irish folk songs on guitar while sipping a freshly poured pint of Harp?!

I was pleasantly surprised by this OTP bar. Even though its fairly new and  it is in a strip mall, the interior was comforting. I'm starting to think that the Irish have the right idea of what a bar should be. This place as rugby shirts hung on the wood stained walls, crumbled dollar bills dangling from the ceiling, a mismatched collection of pint glasses, and a dozen or so beers on draft. Not to mention, a large bar, side room with sit down tables, and a stage for local performers. Our waiter was also the friendliest and most attentive lad ever. As soon as our glasses reached that 5 sips left mark, he was there offering us another. And I couldn't have been happier with my less than 12 dollar tab for 3 drinks!

I don't love or hate the Harp. I had a friend in town for a conference staying in Alpharetta near North Point mall and since he was stuck with no rental car, I agreed to pick him up and find somewhere to drink. We all know what bars are at North Point....zero. So we wandered down a few exits to this place someone recommended.

For a place in Roswell, it wasn't half bad. Like Bill S. said, it's in a half empty strip mall, which there's no shortage of in that town. Our waitress was good, didn't have any food though, so I can't comment on that.

It was really smoky in there, lots of guys in their late 30s and 40s, I guess trying to get a "guys night" away from the soccer wife and kids.

I wouldn't venture out this way just to make a trip here, but if you find yourself craving a Guiness, Stella, or any other European import in this part of town, try this place out.

The Harp is a great neighborhood pub situated in front of a half-empty strip mall. What it lacks in location it makes up in character. The bar is run by two actual Irish folks, the waitstaff are friendly and they have better than average bar food. Try the Guinness chili! They have live music many nights, and the bar does get rather smoky, but its almost a guarantee you'll have a great time.
