Hatrixx

Looking around the area for a cozy bar to relax at, I came across Hatrixx. It's a cozy bar with a great selection of menu items. The burger I ordered was made to order perfectly, the onion rings were very tasty, the bartender was cool to chat with and the atmosphere was excellent. It wasn't empty so there was no awkward "I'm the only person in the joint" feeling and it wasn't packed so I didn't have to wait for anything at all.  I get tired of places that are crammed to the rafters with young annoying college students also. If you want a chill environment to enjoy a beer and the massive menu (for a bar) to pick from, this is an excellent place to go. They also had pool tables, poker games going and dart boards. So it's definitely a viable option for a small group outing as well. I'll be visiting this place again multiple times in the future.

Don't let the outside of this bar fool you. This place gets the five star rating of dive bars even though it's so much more. After looking up the actual definition of a dive bar, and that being "a relaxed and informal atmosphere--often referred to by local residents as neighborhood bars, where people in the neighborhood gather to drink and socialize" we feel confident with this categorization.

Atmosphere:  The first thing we noticed upon entering this bar is how clean and well maintained it is. The second thing we noticed was the smell of pizza coming from the kitchen area, which was also very clean. There are pool tables through the center with booths along the back wall.

Service:  There are several servers scurrying around the place making sure everyone is well taken care of. The bartender was engaging and polite.

Drinks:  The bar itself has a nice selection of domestic and craft beers at good prices.  It's a fully stocked bar that appears to be very well organized as well as clean.  The sign at the end of the bar lists their nightly specials so you can always get a buzz on the cheap.

Food:  The menu is impressive and offers breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as an adequate "pub grub" section. There are sandwiches, salads, Mexican food, desserts, made to order pizzas, but most importantly- rocky mountain oysters.

I'll go with 3.5 stars, to be exact.

If you're looking for a spot to get your Rocky Mountain Oyster fix, this is the place. I almost had my friend order some, until the prying bartender informed him of what he would be ordering- bastard!

What brought us to Hatrixx, was not our pursuit of bull testicles.
What brought us to Hatrixx was its proximity to our hotel, their extensive menu, and the fact that they were open (for food) past 10 p.m. on a Sunday.

Even though the menu was kind of broad, I decided to go with a burger- The Answer,  to be precise. It came with bacon, fried onion and jalapeño, as well as lettuce, tomato and mayo. I added the onion rings for 50 cents more.
The burger was cooked to perfection and was hearty and tasty. They have specials everyday for both food and drink- I took advantage of the $2 domestic draft special this particular eve.

Aside from the food, I think a lot of people may come here for the extra-curricular activities:

There were two pool tables in the main bar, but they also had a separate room with many more.
Darts
Numerous card tables for poker
A projector (I assume for games) with a row of leather chairs to sit and watch- not to mention a few flat screen TV's
And they even had one of those electronic, touch-screen bar games with Naked Titty Hunt (or whatever its called).
