Lucky Joe's Sidewalk Saloon

I love lucky joes, probably some where in the top 5 bars we
like to visit while in Fort Collins. The free peanuts are great
to munch on while drinking a beer. They usually have some
pretty good drink specials which is an attraction.

   A few things that I do not like about this bar is the layout of
the unit. It can get VERY crowded in there and very difficult to
get to the bar to buy a drink. One other thing is we have run
into some unpleasent bartenders that I belive have little to no
knowledge of what they are doing. My girlfriend ordered a vodka
tonic with about 75 percent tonic-water and 25 percent vodka.
and the next drink she was served I was starting to wonder if
there was tonic in the drink at all. A little consistancy with the
drinks being mixed would be nice. But that would be the only
complaints when it comes to the bar. Keep in mind I have never
eaten here other then the peanuts so I can only speak as far
as the bar goes.

We went in last night for dinner since they were doing Great Plates.
The steaks and mozzarella sticks  were great and the service were good.
Since I've been having a really tough week I went with the  Strawberry blonde.
It's a delightful concoction of strawberry vodka and lemonade that goes down really nicely.

Next time we're going back for happy hour, as they different appetizers that sound really good.

What's not to love about Joe's?

Old Saloon-like feel.  Free peanuts, shells belong on the floor.  Live local music.  Local beer on tap.  Guinness poured perfectly.  Standard pub grub.

It's a local favorite!
