Comedy club is located above the Kingfisher restaurant.
12 bucks a person.
Good seating layout where no poles or obstructions of the view of the stage.
NIce view of the waterfront.
Polite staff and reasoably prices drinks.
Didnt get to try the food so I cant leave an accurate review of it.
These reviews will really rely on which comic performed. My wife and I saw Matt Holt and he was great. Â The opening MC was good too.
12 bucks for the MC and the main act was worth it. Its about 9 bucks to see a movie nowadays and for just a couple extra bucks you get a live show. Support local comedy.
The new location (not sure if they have retained the other one) is above the Kingfisher Restaurant. This worked really well since we were able to get a delicious appetizer and have plenty of time to make the show (we didn't plan on dinner; you could have just as easily planned differently.) the club is not fancy; informal; cozy and I couldn't find a bad seat in the whole place. The emcee was very funny with clever lines and minimal vulgarity. Most important, he didn't try to "be the show". He was the host and entertaining; he act was relatively brief. The main act was Dale Jones. If you enjoy Robin Williams you would find Dale funny; but Dales humor is more urbane and intelligent, self-effacing and delivered with great timing. Again, we eschew gratuitous vulgarity; profanity can be effective when it's used to make a point...but it gets tiring when you hear the comic use it in a stale and stupid attempt to be "just like everyone else.". The cheesecake was really good and so was the service. You could order good bar food, lighter fair. This was a good night out! Â Finally we were able to say hello and thank the entertainers personally since they stayed after and mingled with us. We'd go again. Recommended.
