Another amazing experience at the Jazz Corner. Listened to a journey through Jazz. Bob Marsteller even joined in on brass. So awesome to listen to a master at work!! Music was great, as always. Brought back lots of memories of jazz band in high school. Bought the Jazz Corner Story book which helps support their foundation that supports music education in schools in the area. And Bob signed it!! It also has recipes in it. Score!!
Food choices this time around (4 adults):
Proscuitto di parma flatbread
Calamari (special that night)
Fried green tomato salad (licked the plate)
Baby Back Ribs
Waygu Burger
Stuffed chicken (sweet fancy moses how awesome was that)
We also got dessert but that's a faint memory now. Please go eat here people. Even if jazz music isn't your thing. This place should be. It's amazing. Never misses. Can't wait till next year.
We were at the Jazz Corner last week and had the pleasure of listening to the wonderful music of  "A Journey Through Jazz with The Martin Lesch Band".
Cory our server was amazingly attentive to all of our needs!
The food... was as best as that we have had, not on the island but anywhere.
My wife and I both agree that the Jazz Corner is one of those special places that comes a long, does an outstanding job at food and comfort, and they fade after awhile, but this place has been nere 14 years! Â
We both split the Grilled Pear, Brie & Roasted Beet Salad, we should have each had our own, it was very good.
My wife had Balsamic Roasted Portobello and I had the special of the night, soft shell crabs over a potato and vegetable medley, both entrees were "amazing"!
We each had the Vanilla Caramel Custard Cake, a big mistake each having our own desert, as one Vanilla Caramel Custard Cake could feed three people. Â The cake was also very, very good,
We live in Boston, and visit Hilton Head Island regularly, when we do visit again, The Jazz Corner will be one of our stops for dinner and entertainment.
Congratulations on your success Bob!
You must eat here at least once in your lifetime!
Wow. I can't tell you how much I want to go back for dinner and jazz again!
You must get the fried green tomato salad. No exceptions. It can be shared between two people, but you will not want to after you have your first bite.
A BIG recommendation.....actually make that two:
1. Before you make reservations and you know approx the week or days you are able to go, listen to the jazz group online before deciding. You may find a particular group more to your taste on a specific night. Also note that each night has a different cover charge depending on the group that is performing that night. It could be no charge or $20 per person. Leave a msg if you have questions....they WILL call you back that day and quickly.
2. You MUST order the vanilla custard cake for dessert. PLEASE PLEASE do NOT make the same mistake I did. I should have listened to my fellow Yelpers about how great this dessert was but I was tempted by a chocolate dessert. I can't deny chocolate usually, but the Vanilla Custard Cake was Phenominal! I was sooooo jealous that I didn't order it but only had a few bites of my boyfriend's serving. I really wanted to pick up his plate, run outside, and eat it myself.
Ok...third one. Order the Fried green tomato salad...order a second for yourself and send the dish to me FedEx overnight.....along with the custard cake.
I got the prosciutto wrapped scallops....Yum! I would order that again too.
The hospitality was great, and I promise you will have a great and memorable time.
I will return even if the nurse has to wheel me in on my nursing home bed....I want that salad and cake..ending with a cup of coffee and jazz.
Enjoy!
