As much as I wish my hometown was a melting pot of cultures, in regard to people and food. It is not. However, when I tried the Thai chili glazed with sesame ginger sauce I felt like I was somewhere else. I mean these weren't just basic buffalo wings in hot sauce. These packed flavor by the bite. Even the scallions placed on top added to the taste, perfection. I haven't really tried anything else from this establishment. I've had friends that visited the other location and have had bad experiences, however, my experience was good both times.
I didn't speak much on the decor, but it was very nice and modern too. My type of restaurant. Also, if you get too drunk, you can always get a room since its attached to DoubleTree.
I arrived at Houlihan's for a going away party for a friend which was in a party room. The hostess, who was standing at my station, ignored me. I had to call my friend for her to tell me where she was. My group had already ordered drinks. I ordered the same thing they were drinking. Ten minutes no drink. Thirty minutes no drink. Fourty five minutes no drink. Keep in mind other people have joined us after I did and received their drinks. An hour later the waiter decides to try and bring me a drink and I refused it. There were several issues with the food. One plate had to be sent back twice because the food was cold. The asparagus was still frozen!! The manager, a red headed lady, handled the problem with an attitude. Needless to say I will NOT be back.
Review Source:I never thought this place harbored such racist ideals. Myself along with several others were invited to interview for jobs. This was held in the banquet room. Some of us were asked to sit out of that area until called apon. About 20 mins later the manager/owner approached us and said, in a very rude manner,"Y'all gotta get up and out of my place." I introduced myself to him and explained that I frequent this place at least twice a month and that I didn't appreciate how we were being talked to... Then he said that thing no one of color ever wants to hear..."you people..." Need I say more!
Review Source:My husband and I walked in and were greeted  by a young woman whose mouth was full of food.  She asked us if a table for two was okay. (while her mouth was still filled with what smelled like a giant piece of chocolate.) We asked when their happy hour was and proceeded to walk us to a table.  We asked if she could find out when happy hour was and she ignored us and still wasn't actually chewing the food in her mouth to finish it, I guess she was trying to savor the flavor... Anyways, we both got really annoyed and walked out before we could even see the menu.
Review Source:If you don't want to wander off from the comforts of your hotel, this is a good option than what's across the street. Â Decent standard American fare, with tidbits of "fusion" influence from Latin and Asian cuisines. Â
The place is clean and the service was always friendly. Â They also serve breakfast for the Doubletree onsite, which is better than your standard hotel breakfast.
Anything I have tried has tasted good. Â I prefer the Boneless Thai Chile wings most of the time. Â I have ventured out a little this last time and tried a small plate special on the asparagus salad. Â I was a bit disappointed in the portion size for 5 dollars on this. Â But I ate some fries and it made me feel better.
