I'm pretty sure this is the first one star rating I've given out on YELP...

We had come here about a year ago and had horrible steak, but thought we would give it a try again last night.  The "filet mignon" is still HORRIBLE and unrecognizable as filet.

My husband and I both ordered the Filet Mignon dinner for $24.95 each.  Soup & salad were OK, veggies were pretty good, and then they put the steaks on the grill.  They looked nothing like any Filet Mignon we've ever seen.  They looked more like really bad skirt steak- long, flat, fatty, tendon-filled pieces of meat approximately 4" wide by 8" long.  Just like a year ago.  Amazingly, this meat tasted even worse than it looked.  I literally couldn't even choke down a piece of it, it was so full of fat...

Even our 9 year old daughter wouldn't eat the steak!

TERRIBLE- Stay away!!!

Best sushi in town and i;m willing to say i enjoy their sushi more than any other ive seen in the states. Its very hearty and they dont skimp on the rolls. Prices are also very reasonable.

I have patronized this restaurant for the second time in a year. I loved it last year when traveling through after an art retreat and was so excited to visit again 9-23-12.  I have not done the grill area but their sushi is fantastic. They have a seared salmon roll with shrimp that is so wonderful I think about it for weeks.  Definitely worth a road trip or a stop while passing through.  Merriville is a lucky town to have this quality of a restaurant.
