I walked in and was a little amused that the cheap plastic hot dog stand booths were covered in black tablecloths.  BUT the decor does not in any way represent the quality of the food.  After sitting we were provided menues and an explanation that while they offer tapas, they also offer dinners.  Great idea!

My husband and I ordered Scallops Diablo, Mussels de Spain, Steak Kabobs and Carne Asada with Chimichurri sauce.  Every dish was prepared perfectly.  The pacing of the food was perfect.  We actually by accident chose perfectly too, the Scallops Diablo are pretty spicy, and just when we thought we couldn't handle the spice, the Mussels showed up and put out the fire.  We ordered the garlic lemon sauce for the mussels and the flavors were bright and savory.  I sopped up all the sauce with the bread served with dinner.  :)

The steaks were done nicely, the vegetables on the skewers were roasty toasty, and the chimichurri sauce just shined with the steak.  My husband loved the roasted potatoes!

Dessert was phenomenal as well... I cannot remember the name, but it was essentially a layer of flan on a layer of moist chocolate cake.  Unbelievable!

The servers were fantastic, the chef came out and asked how we liked dinner.  I was very happy with my meal, and I can't wait to go back again, Bring some friends, and try the paella!

Really good food and excellent food! Less expensive than Don Quijote. My wife & I had Patatas Bravas and Potato Croquettas for an appetizer. Both were amazing! The bread was great, but was surprised by the absence for Ali Oli from the menu. The cucumbers that were brought out with the bread, which were sprinkled with the Bravas spice were a surprising treat.

I had the Northern Asada, which was cooked to perfection. Also had very generous portion. The beans were delicious and the rice was good as well. I would definitely recommend this for an entree.

On the other hand my wife ordered the paella, and this left a bit to be desired. It would hold its own as just a rice dish with chicken and chorizo, but not as "the best paella in Northwest Indiana".

The service was prompt, professional, and made you feel at home! We were even visited by the owners (we were given the Croquettas for free because we had ordered the chicken ones and they had ran out). Their staff is excellent! All in all would definitely go back for more Tapas.

In from LA and looking for a unique place to grab lunch, we drove past Tapas and decided to stop in.

Best service and ambience we've experienced in years! We ordered calamari grilled, bacon scallops and scallops diablo.  The calamari was just as great as the fresh and perfectly cooked calamari we had in Spain.

Ulysses was an exceptional host with his recommendations and service.

We will come back everytime we are in town.
