We went thinking we were going to Kelsey's and not realizing it had changed, but we decided to give it a try.  The fact that it was not very busy on a Saturday should have been a sign - but we were hungry so we stayed.

This was without a doubt the slowest and worst service ever.  We sat for nearly 30 minutes without seeing our waitress. The hostess came to apologize, saying she was busy bringing drinks to another table and would be right with us.  The hostess left a loaf of bread, but no knife to cut it with (other tables had pre-sliced bread-oops #1).  No water, no drinks.  About 10 minutes later the waitress finally shows up, takes our order and brings us drinks and salad.  The salad was sloppy looking, but tasted OK.  Another 40 minutes passed before our dinner arrived.

My filet was tiny and overcooked.  I ordered medium-rare and this was close to well done.  My husband's order was completely wrong.  He told the waitress to just leave the steak and bring the correct potatoes, as he was starving and just wanted to eat.  She said "No, I won't have you scraping the topping off the wrong steak,  take that potato and put it on your little plate."  (he thought she was going to take the baked potato away, as he didn't order baked)  She took away his steak, saying he could snack on the potato until the correct dinner came.  I didn't dare mention that mine was overcooked out of fear that I'd never get to eat.  I finished my meal and went to the ladies room and no sign of the waitress the whole time.  30 minutes after she took the first plate away, he finally got a new steak.  The waitress apologized, saying she'd give us a free appetizer or dessert to make up for it.

He finished eating and we sat for quite a long time waiting for the waitress to come back to offer the aforementioned dessert.    When she finally came back she said "you're probably too full for dessert, but if you want something I'll wrap it to go."  Which I found pretty presumptuous.  Because we were not, in fact, too full.  Just too tired of being there.  She names the desert list and my husband asked for vanilla bean cheesecake.  A few minutes later the waitress came back to tell him there was one slice left, but she didn't like the way it looks, so could she bring him something else.

The food was not bad.  And the prices were OK.  But not worth the wait and poor service.

Our table was not an isolated issue because the tables behind and next to us were both complaining about the same thing.  And a couple that were nearby had their waitress return twice to tell them they had run out of whatever it was they had ordered.

Also, after the nice fresh "pick your own steaks" we were expecting, it was disappointing to watch the chef cut the steaks out of plastic food service packaging.

And what's with the hostess trying to hold both doors open at the same time whenever someone leaves?  Her arms aren't long enough, and she not only looks ridiculous, but she's blocking the doorway, and really after 3 hours, I just wanted to get out of there.

    Will not go back.

Looking for that former  Kelsey's meal. Ribs were still good. The filet was not good:(. They put melted cheese on the double baked potato now.

We have not been to this restaurant since it was Kelsey's and it was one of our favorite steakhouses. We were somewhat dissapointed today. The steak was good, the service was pretty good, when the waiter asked if we wanted mushrooms or onions on our steaks my husband and I did not want any but our friends said yes and were NOT told they cost extra - the mushrooms were 3.50 and the grilled onions were 3.75 this made their $20 steak cost over $27 for a small filet. Our meal with no appetizer, no alcohol, just iced tea and dinner was $61 before adding the tip for a steak that was just ok. The bills were just laid on the table no leather check holder.... It was just weird. There was not many people in the dining room so I guess word has spread.

We probably will not go back.
