i have mixed feelings about this place...solely because the two times i came here i had different experiences.
1st time was with 4 people on a saturday night. This place seats probably about 50 people i would guess....its very small. When we came in there was a band playing...and they were REALLY good. But the music was way too loud for how small the place is, so if you dont like loud music, i suggest you come during the day.
My sister , brother , fiance and i sat down and were approached within the 10 minutes we were seated and ordered drinks and appetizers. We got the Sampler which includes Fried Green tomatoes, pickles, jalapeno cheese sticks, and okra. That was the best sampler plate i ever ordered from a restaurant. It was spectacular.
My fiance and brother ordered Crawfish Po Boys , and they were really good. I adore crawfish and when i find it , it usually is good. We enjoyed our first trip to Seasons...it was pretty fun and we loved the ambiance of the place.
Rate For the 1st trip : 3 1/2 stars.
2nd Trip: February 14, 2013.
We had a group of 6 for a triple date on Valentines Day. When we got to the place , we were about an hour late because of an accident on 94. We entered the place and it was packed and loud..mostly because of the band. Again. I would actually expect that on valentines day that it would be sort of quiet, or even soft music playing. Because of course, you want to talk and be able to hear what your date is saying. That annoyed me. it took 10 minutes for us to be seated because we were late.
We were seated and the same waitress we had last time served us. i ordered appetizer samplers like i did last time, and drinks. The samplers this time took a very long time, and another waitress gave away our second sampler so they had  to make another one.  On Valentines Day, They had a small menu just for Valentines Day. None Of their Specialties or anything on the menu. Also a huge disappointment.
2 people ordered the fish , shrimp , and catfish combo, my fiance ordered crawfish with mac n cheese and greens, i ordered prime rib, my sister in law ordered ribs and my brother ordered jambalaya. Mostly everyone at our table disliked their food. The Shrimp my sister had was just fried with flour and had barely any seasoning on it...the mac and cheese wasnt that good at all and my SIL's ribs were extremely dry. Now i think the absolute worst , was the Prime Rib. It was so damn disgusting. I knew i made a mistake ordering that...it had so much fat on it. unbeilevable. I would think even though its not your specialty you would still try to make it great. IT had barely any seasoning at all, and neither did the au jus. Â
Overall , the second trip was crap. We spent $100 on food for nothing...it wasnt worth it at all. Â Besides that, we waited a total of 2 hours for our food, when everyone around us already had theirs. One thing i can say is that , Dixie Kitchen has 5 star restaurant service compared to here. They manage their restaurant well. and if they had 4 times the amount of people that seasons had, we wouldnt have even waited more than 1 hour for our food. i still like this place but i wont come here that often
The staff was very friendly. I ordered a pitcher of sangria to drink with my friend and the server came back to ask what we wanted to order. She had to come back a few times because my friend and I were deep in conversation. She didn't mind. Â I asked the server what type of Shrimp Po Boy I should get and she told me her favorite was the blackened spice.
Holy crap! She was right! Â I can't begin to tell you how in love I am with the Shrimp Po Boy! Do yourself a favor and order the big one, and then seven to go.
I really liked the atmosphere. Tip the hell out of these ladies, they deserve it. I will be going back when they have a band.
