Villa Del Sol

I went here with my Mom for lunch, I ordered a Premium Gold Lime Margarita.  Now I'm going to have to go back to try another one as my first sip was delicious but after squeezing my lime wedge and putting it in the drink It got really bitter.  I'll just leave it alone next time.  Complementary salsa verde and chips came out within minutes of sitting down, really good. The entre was great, I had the skirt steak off the lunch menu, freaking delicious and perfectly cooked.  I also had a pork taco a la carte, again delicious.  The bathrooms as well as the restaurant were really clean and the service was great.  Prices were very reasonable as well.

The food was decent,  the drinks were so-so but the chips and salsa was delicious and even though we didn't get to utilize the patio we look forward to going again strictly for that. One huge issue was that I had a gift certificate that clearly stated gratuity not included and there were only 3 of us so per the menu it wouldn't be included but upon inspection we were charged 18% anyway under misc. I normally tip 20% so not only did she jip herself but made me wonder how many times this gets added an people don't realize and double tip. So make sure you inspect your check.

I, like most people from this area, was under the La Carretta spell. When someone said mexican I said La Car. Sorry La Carretta your oversized drinks and heavy 'mexican' food does not compare to the authenticity Villa Del Sol offers. Not to mention the badass patio out back! The food is real, delicious, and doesnt leave you with that sickly feeling. The margaritas are perfect! And its nice that you dont have to drink 60oz to catch a buzz. To get to the point: great food, great drinks, great atmosphere, great service! What more could you ask for?!
