Portillo's

I've been here twice and both times at the end of a long day and feeling hungry and tired. Definately a place for locals. There are two menus and it can be a bit overwhelming if you are unfamiliar with how they do things. Staff are not really interested in answering questions either. For lack of a better reference it's kind of like the soup nazi. Be ready to order and don't screw it up or you'll be sorry ! Not quite that bad, but both times I felt like they were annoyed that I was a newbie and had questions. The experienced patrons seemed annoyed too. So I ordered something just to keep the line moving. If I go back I will be sure to study the menu ahead of time ! ;)

How can you not like this place.  Order anything, everything, something from this menu.  Try the fries, try the milk shakes, try the onion rings.  Be sure to enjoy and cut back on another meal because I'm sure you're over your calorie intake but IT'S WORTH IT!

Love going to this place for the chili cheese dogs as well as the BIG beef sandwich. The food really hits the spot and the servings are very good for the dollar amount you pay. Staff is always pleasant and has a very good demeanor. Clean and always very busy, but worth any wait time.
