Taste Of India

After hearing so many positive responses about this place I decided to stop in for lunch.  The food smelled delicious and immediately I wanted to devour everything.  We were not greeted and after waiting to be seated a server arrives and POINTS at a seat by the door.  We stated it was cold and rewuested a different location and our server again POINTED towards the back.  Decided to stay despite the server but it seemed as if her attitude worsened.  We left and decided on middle-eastern cusine instead.  I was told by a friend that there is another location so perhaps another day and definitely not this location.  I should not have to sacrifice quality service to enjoy quality cusine.

I can't give this place five stars, because it is by no means a five star restaurant but the food was very good! They offer multiple choices for a reasonable price and the food is perfectly seasoned.

If you are ever in Merriville, Indiana and you aren't sure where to stop and eat go ahead and drive over to 81st Ave and check Taste of India out! They are friendly yet, very nervous and hesitant with their customer service it's almost funny. They stand back and watch you like they are trying to figure out if something is wrong before you say it, but their English isn't that good so yeah it's cute. Overall, the staff was friendly, attentive and approachable. The food was spicy perfection and reasonably priced, so enjoy!

Everything on the Buffet is Absolutely Delicious. I keep going back for the unique tastes totally different than my normal american diet...Nothing was too Hot or too Spicy.  Its addictive.  Place is clean and would highly recommend this place for tastes that are a bit different that your use too, but extraordinary.  Only negatives would be...  not crazy about the Music and the Service is very good.
