I hadn't been to the Patio in years and was excited to experience the same excellent food and service I had when I was there back in the 90's.  Sorry to say, I was a little disappointed.  First of all, we got there at 6:30 (prime dinner time) and there was only one other table with guests.  That was surprising to me because I expected the dining room to be full.

Our waitress was super nice and attentive to our needs, probably because she didn't have any other tables to attend to, but nevertheless she was great.  The food, on the other hand was just okay.  I started out with the stuffed green pepper soup, which tasted wonderful, however came out lukewarm at best.  The lamb shank was tasty and very tender. I substituted mashed potatoes instead of linguine and regretted the decision...the mashed potatoes were cold.  The steamed veggies I got must have been sitting out for a while too because they were also cold.  You would think that with so few dinners to prepare, they could get them out hot, but no such luck.

Overall, a disappointing experience, except for our server who was very nice.

    Mother's Day gift....CHECK!

The Patio has a great Mother's Day brunch that we love taking my mom to. She enjoys it as well.

There was so much food and so many people. However, everything was done nicely. The food selection was great. Everything was great, especially the desserts! Yum! My mom felt so special and she talks about going to the Patio all the time as a great memory. The price for this was good for the the quality of food given. Service was good as well. We were in and out with our bellys full.

Hey, I just might have to  bring her and my sister to The Patio this year! Yes,

My family and I went to the Patio for this most recent Thanksgiving and we were very disappointed in the service.  I have been wanting to dine at "The Patio" for some time due to it good reputation.  While the food was very good , the service was terrible.
We waited for a while to get acknowledgement by our server. When the server did arrive she did not introduce herself and asked what do we want to drink. When asked "What do you have to drink", Her response was "I do not know" and she randomly pointed around the room. I suppose we were supposed to see what everyone else was drinking.  She finally said "Sprite or Coke", later it was relieved that there was many more options besides just Sprite and Coke.

Water refills were slow and infrequent.

There was a wine fountain near the buffet that had no glasses present.

The bathrooms lacked class and had graffiti present and an overall dingy feel. Upon review the bathrooms were not what you would expect from a 'nice' restaurant.

When it came time for the bill, our waitress was no where to be found. We wanted to pay the bill but we could not locate her. We had to ask a bus boy to locate her for us. When she did come, she hovered over the bill payer like a jackal waiting to pounce upon her prey.  She did not notice the death stare of the entire table while she was making physical contact with the bill payer who was figuring out the bill.  When the tip and total was computed, with her right arm reached over the shoulder and across the face of the bill payer to point out a math error. There was no math error though and she the waitress was mistaken.

Unfortunately, I suspect tip was already included but our waitress maneuver was probably designed to prevent close inspection of the bill.  I was not afforded the opportunity to inspect the bill.

The meal ended with a mix-up at the coat check. I handed my ticket to the coat check girls and of course my coat was not present.  A man walked up a minute later stating that he was given the wrong coat. It was my coat.

One additional observation, 'The Patio' is frequented by a older crowd. Many of which use walkers / canes and have difficulties with street curbs.  Since, there clientele is of that demographic it was odd there was one small ramp for people with disabilities.

The food was outstanding but everything besides the food was terrible.

Update:  5 out of 12 people in our group got a bad case of food poisoning. The only meal that they had in common was this meal. One person was hospitalized because of the food ate at 'the patio'.
