Came in for a late lunch (around 2pm) with a friend.
The restaurant was fairly empty, and service was fairly prompt. Servers were polite, though knew nothing about the Philippine items on the menu.
Started with egg drop soup, which was bland and salty. Moderate egg, and no onions! Tea was OK, not too strong but decent basic black flavor. Both soup and tea were served nice and hot.
I ordered Mongolian Beef, since I haven't had this in a couple years and she said it was good. [Didn't test the Philippine foods since she couldn't really tell me much about them :( ] The portion was huge, with an enormous helping of rice, and a piece of tempura chicken.
The beef was OK, but very salty (expected in Chinese food), and the rice was very mild. Beef served over rice noodles added a nice crunch to the dish, which otherwise was very basic. Food was served hot and fresh.
Friend ordered Egg Foo Young. Again, large serving with a lot of rice. Said flavor was OK, but not as good as two places he mentioned which he often visits. (I don't recall the places he mentioned, which are in Mt Prospect) He took one bite of the tempura chicken, and left the rest.
Prices seemed a little high, but not too bad for the portion size. Service was decent, but there were only four tables to be served, so can't comment on lunch or dinner times.
May come back for the Philippine Buffet, but the Chinese was not worth the trip - and we live across town. :( Servers need to be familiarized with the menu items, or have a brief description in the menu!
Horrible customer service and no telephone manners. The phone person should be fired. I have been ordering from this place for the last 4 years ... Never again, train your staff not to be rude to customers, this is how restaurants go out of business by loosing regular customers due to rude and unprofessional help.
