I am not a huge fan of themed restaurants, but I really enjoyed eating her. The waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly. He helped us pick out the perfect meal.
The menu is interesting and eclectic. The burgers are great and so are the sweet potato fries. My only complaint is the noise. With the brick walls, blaring tvs, Â high ceiling, open kitchen, and toy trains going overhead it is nearly impossible to hear anything.
Casual atmosphere with some unusual menu items. The model train running overhead with the open ceiling tends to make the restaurant somewhat extra noisy.
Wait staff is fairly attentive and the food is served hot.
For the price, the food is a little higher than other places offering similar items.
Classic Midwestern American food place. Burgers, pot roast, perch along with a variety of cheese-based appetizers. The pretzels and cheese and chips and cheese appetizers were good. The pot roast burger was solid, but lacking in actual pot roast. The perch dinner that I had the last time I visited was pretty good, and I like that they offer sweet potato fries. The beer offerings were minimally acceptable, much like the service, which I'd call friendly but not the most attentive. It's got an interesting decor that evokes industry, progress, and hope. I found the portions adequate and the prices just a bit on the high side. I'd probably come here again just to take out of town guests somewhere casual, local, and that isn't a chain, but it's not high on my list.
