As a local, I've been to Irish Eyes many times. Â The past few times have gotten progressively worse. Â We always choose to sit at the outside bar or the tables around the bar. Â There are very few bartenders that we like, more so, have "manners". Â Hearing how people are spoken to, I can't believe some still have their jobs. Â The last time we were there, will be the last time. Â Our bartender, Amie, couldn't have been worse. Â Each time that I'm there and we get her, I am amazed by the customer service, or lack there of! Â
I've always loved going there and being right on the water, but for the quality of the food and service, it's not worth it. Â Truly ashame that a server like Amie can give you such a bad taste on a place that we've gone to our whole lives.
Irish Flies is more like it. The deck is covered in flies. Food is overpriced and mixed drinks watered-down. But, nice view and hard to screw up beer and burgers. Do not order anything you wouldn't trust a 12 year-old to make. Good place to bring kids, just don't expect too much. Much like a Soviet grocery store in 1982, they know they are one of the only games in town and act accordingly. Â Take a picnic to the park across the inlet and save the $$$. The luck o' the Irish has run out.
