Islands Restaurant

Oh how I want to like you islands! I have tried so very hard to make this relationship work. You're close by, your prices are decent, but why must your food and customer service suck so bad!? Came here for the fourth time tonight. Waitress took forever and a day to take my order. My drinks were watered down, the food was greasy and had an obscenely large amount of cheese (this coming from someone who loves cheese). Probably wont come back, at one point I just have to realize it's not working out.

What happened?
This was superior than the Torrance and Manhattan Beach location. As of 2 weeks ago, they were right on the ball, today, a different story.
Lamer of a host/manager, new guy for sure. Waited 11 minutes to see someone at the  host area, another 5 minutes to be seated, and waited  another 15 minutes for the waitress to show up to our table. 20 minuted for  the burgers to come, only to bite into a  drenched in mustard bun, which fell apart on me. Fires, were very dry, it was lite chewing on cotton balls.  Not once did Mike, the new manager guy come to our table, however, our nice server did send the general manager Mindy, which really did not understand the concern. Damage done, fix it, don't dance around it. Fix it in totality, not partially.

I would like to return here since my last visits were very pleasant, however, I did learn that Tuesdays is not a good day. Bad cook, bad manager, just bad!
I give it 2 stars, and that is for service, one star for management, and quality of food.

Had my Birthday lunch there yesterday , food and service were TERRIFIC !!! And being a diabetic , they have ALL the items on the menu broken down as far as Nutritional Values , so it makes it easy to decide what you can ,and can't eat , especially if you need to watch your CARB  intake . THANK YOU !!!! ISLANDS for making it easy AND very ENJOYABLE  for a older and newly diagnosed 55+ diabetic to enjoy a GREAT MEAL !!!!!!!
