Hookah Hut

Great spot...solid hookah, very friendly & accommodating staff.  The owner is awesome.

Too hot in there. Not ventilated. Bad service!! If you know someone then you get hooked up. Asked for tongs. Didn't get damn tongs. Hookah taste was wack. Bad after taste. Overall bad experience.

Went here last night after missing a movie and using yelp to find an alternative option. Sad to say my experience here was terrible from start to finish.

Environment wasn't really what I was expecting, with the rerun sports game playing in the background and the vibe of the crowd, it felt more like I was in a smokey sports bar than a hookah lounge. I'm sure this has to do with it being 18+, but I was expecting a little bit more of a lively scene given that it was almost midnight on a Saturday night.

Service was bad. It took about 10 minutes for someone to take our order and although the hookahs came out pretty quickly they came out without any coals. When I asked for coals, twice, the waiter barely stopped to mumble something about "he needs to bring them out." I don't know who "he" was but it took "him" another 10 minutes to bring us coals while other people who came after us were getting hookahs already lit with coals. I understand if they were caught in the process of lighting coals when we arrived, but what's the point of sending me a hookah with no coals...might as well just wait until its ready before sending it out.

Also, the hookah itself was not good at all. It was obvious that the quality of the tobacco was pretty cheap as the flavor was bland and it burned out in about 20 min. The flavor also wasn't helped by the fact that the coal added the flavor of being one of those "instant light".

After waiting so long to get our hookah lit, we basically never saw our waiter again unless of course we went out of our way to flag his attention. No one came to check on our coals, to blow out the bowl...ask if we needed water...check if we'd ditched on the bill.? We basically had to go out of our way to pay the bill, which arrived without the 10% check in discount offered. When we asked about it he said something about discounting us all the cover charge, which made no sense because if that was the case why not indicate it on the bill?

Honestly.. I admit I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to hookah lounges so I had a pretty high expectation when I came here. If you have a high standard like me I would definitely suggest not coming here! If you don't really care, or if you just looking for any spot to blow some smoke and pass the time.. Then by all means go. But for me it just felt like a spot geared more towards teens who don't really have a lot of options in where to go.
