Went to Royal Jelly at Revel on a Friday night for a Bachelor party and had a great time. Nice space with a good staff and even better crowed. The burlesque dancers are hot and very talented. Perfect spot for a group of men but don't get me wrong, there were lots of women as well. We did the bottle service so we got our own little vip area with a juice girl and all. Because Royal Jelly is a Burlesque club, the dancers come on and put on a good show a couple times during the night. These women are talented and really nice to look at. The women in the crowed were nice and friendly. The crowed was all about having fun which is nice to see at clubs. I will def be coming back to Royal Jelly. The theme, crowed and staff won me over.
Review Source:My boyfriend and I were spending an evening in Atlantic City and, after perusing the reviews on Yelp, decided to hit up Royal Jelly for a change on pace from the typical AC nightclub.
We read that the burlesque performance usually starts around midnight, so after we spent a couple hours throwing away our money in the casino we went into the club around 11:15. I'm not sure if it was because of the time or the day (Thursday) but it was practically empty. The DJ was spinning but everyone was just standing around the perimeter sipping their drinks.
Thankfully, about a half hour or so later, people started to filter in. By midnight the club, albeit not packed (not complaining), was full of people getting their dance on.
I thought the music selection was perfect - top 40 hip hop dance hits from today back to the 80s. Even my boyfriend enjoyed it and he doesn't usually listen to anything "popular". I didn't think the DJ was the best mixer but I'll forgive it for the excellent track list.
The "burlesque" show started around 1 am. I put burlesque in quotations because  it's not really burlesque. Yes, there are scantily clad ladies wearing strategically placed electrical tape... but that doesn't mean it's burlesque.
Nevertheless, the girls were AWESOME. They looked like they were having a blast and rocked out while dancing on the bar and stage. It was so much fun. I wanted to be one of those girls. Maybe someday.
Overall we had a great time. I enjoyed the atmosphere a lot more than Club HQ which I had gone to several months ago. I'll be back to Royal Jelly!
