This restaurant is clearly in the running for the crown of chinese food, but falls short in this college town. It's a little difficult to find as it is tucked away on a road behind the mall, but the signage outside assures you wont miss it easily.
I went with one of their featured chicken items, the orange zest chicken, which is suppose to offer a sweet zesty flavor on top of chunks of fried chicken. In reality I ended up with some over-fried pieces of chicken smothered in the overly sweet and not enough spice sauce with not even a hint of orange. There is no shortage in quantity as you'll get a heaping portion regardless if you select the small or large option. The chicken was served with a choice of white or brown rice. It wasn't the freshest rice, but it hadn't turned to an over-warmed rubbery mess either.
I ordered take out, but the restaurant has lots of seating options available. The staff is limited as they had one person working the register and handling take out orders and maybe one person checking on the patrons dining in. After I had ordered the woman working the register never returned from the kitchen until my food was ready. This was great for me, but the other people who wanted to pay their bill had to wait, so there are some gaps in the service.
The parking lot is ample although some of the spots can be a trap, meaning easy to pull in, but difficult to get out of. Otherwise there is lots of parking and you wont have to walk far to the door.
