I don't get these reviews. "Tacky?" I think some food snobs need to keep to their fancy dining places... Crab shack is basically an "Authentic" gulf style or cajun seafood place... and that means tacky and dive-like. Â The Crab shack chain in general is my favorite place to eat. Â I'm from the gulf coast and I miss real seafood places up in Indiana. They are consistent with the food and it is always good if you like true to it's roots southern seafood. Â I recommend then Sunset Fire Grill steampot. Yeah, the corn isn't usually very good, but who cares? Â The crab, shrimp, and sausage is awesome!
Back off snobs if you can't handle authentic.
Worst "seafood" I've ever had. Â My sister and I were looking forward to trying one of their crab pots that look so good on TV. Â We were so disappointed. Â Our waitress was friendly but, once we had our food, she never came back until we were finished. She did threaten to tie our bib's on and wanted to know why we didn't get up and dance.....uh, because I'm not a dork looking for attention when I go out to eat.... Â We both had the lobster, crab and shrimp pot. Â (extra shrimp instead of sausage). Â All of the seafood was WAY over cooked or really old, I can't figure out which, but all of it was tough and rubbery. Â The corn was old....I mean REALLY old and tasted like corn that was meant for farm animals. Â The Lobster was tiny and the meat inside the shell had been cooked so long that it looked like it didn't even come out of that shell, it was so small. Â The seasoning was bland and not tasty at all. Â Our total was over $72.00 and I will NEVER go back here again. Â I can't believe they've remained open so long....no wonder the in Indy closed! Â BAD BAD BAD FOOD!
