John's Midtown Tavern

I've been in this place a few times. This is a neighborhood bar with the same locals coming here for years. It's the type of place you go to for a few cheap beers, chat up the bar tender and watch the local games. It opens early for those coming off the graveyard shift.

There's a bus that pulls up here that goes to every Giants home game and last I heard, they had some kind of organized bar game league on Thursday nights. They also sell liquor so you can stop in to get some beer or some bottles of hard stuff to take home.

The smell of years of spilled, stale beer purfume this establishment. Yes, it has local Bayonne charm.
