I have been going to Jordan's for a few years now and the place has recently gone WAY down hill. When it first opened, I really liked the place - the atmosphere and daily specials are great. I loved the food - pizza, appetizers, entrees were all good. However the dining room and bar are quite dirty and the food quality has gotten to a level where I'm almost afraid to eat there... A week ago, I went in with my husband and daughter for brunch, and my mimosa honestly smelled like the OJ had been sitting out for 5 days. Â All of our food is
The positive thing is the service is always pretty good.
I love neighborhood restaurants and try to support as many as I can, (because we eat out a lot) however this one is off the list. The place needs a SERIOUS cleaning from top to bottom.
Just moved in across the street. I've only been in once, but from what I can tell it is exactly what I would hope for in the bar across the street.
A conversation struck up between the three people I was with and two guys sitting at a table doing homework, the question of whether it was happy hour or not came up and the guys said it was ALWAYS happy hour. Perfect.
The drink deals are amazing, it's a good place to go grab a drink if you actually want to be able to have a conversation with the people your with, and the food seems to be okay. I only had the pizza (which was very good) but one of the guys had a shepherds pie that looked pretty good. Also, the waiter we had was pretty great. I don't have a bad thing to say about the place.
I have to say that I am really surprised by all the good reviews of this place. I have NEVER had a good experience here, and the only reason I go back is for trivia night, and even that isn't that good.
Let's get down to specifics, shall we?
The first time I went here, my food was so bad that I became vegetarian for a month after. I ordered some kind of chicken sandwich that included avocado, bacon, and ranch. Delicious, right? WRONG. It literally tasted like it had been made a few hours prior and then left to sit out for awhile. The chicken was bland and rubbery, the bacon was stringy, the avocado black and the ranch had soaked through the bread. I was on a date (it didn't work out), so I didn't really want to send it back, but that didn't make any difference anyway, because we never saw our server again, until we asked for the check  (also, I've worked in the industry, and I know what a bitch it can be, so I try to be nice to servers, even when they suck).
Awhile later, I tried the food again (pizza, this time). Again, terrible. I ended up giving most of it away, and the friends I gave it to didn't really like it.
Another night, our server brought our check before we asked for it, and we had wanted to sit and drink for awhile.
I always just get beer here, and the glasses are usually warm...
The servers are TERRIBLE. They usually act as if they just woke up from a nap, and are annoyed that they have to serve you. They seem to have no sense of what a customer might want
Ex: second or third time there, I'm meeting friends. The server is at the table when I get there. As I'm sitting down, before I've even seen a menu, she says, "can I get you anything?" I say "I'll probably just have a beer." "What kind of beer do you want?" I look at her for a second, to see if, I dunno, she might suggest something. Nope. I say "I don't know, I'll have to look at a menu first. Can you come back in a minute?" She brings my friends drinks, but drops them off and doesn't ask me for my drink order. 10 minutes later, we had to flag her down to order a beer.
Ugh, TL; DR: this place sucks, in every way possible
