Joy of the Wok

I need to just learn my lesson about places that are deserted or almost before I eat there, as I was the only customer at the time.  I would say this is expensive subpar Chinese food. I ordered the Hot & Sour soup like another reviewer raved about and it tasted burnt. The spring roll had some sort of ground meat in it (?) and was really greasy as were the crab Rangoons. I ordered the chicken in garlic sauce, which had lots of meat, but very little veggies and the sauce tasted kinda like the hot and sour soup. Oh, and on a last note, the older gentleman that took my order didn't ask what kind of rice I wanted. No more than two minutes after he went to the back I asked if I could have fried rice if steamed came with it and he told me I couldn't change my order....seriously!?!? How hard is the difference in rice and again, I was the ONLY customer in the Restraunt at 7 pm on a Monday...

Was and is one of my favorites for stir fry. Always had a great meal there.

joy of the wok is a great family restaurant. its usually very quiet inside, but its a great place to eat. the food is great no matter what you get and the owner is a nice man. I recommend getting mushu pork, joy of the wok chicken spicy and their pork fried rice.
