Just happened to be walking by after the movie and saw this darling place. What a great vibe and nice, pleasant atmosphere and people. The food was delicious and we enjoyed lots of fresh, raw fish. One suggestion: The edamame was a bit soft and overcooked. Other than that, we will definitely be going back again because it was a neat find. We enjoyed the Chirashi and nigiri Blue Fin Tuna, Hamachi, and Escolar. Give it a shot. It's well worth it.
Review Source:We are regulars at lunch time because we are such fans of their bento boxes, which they don't offer at dinner.  The place is clean, it doesn't have loud music blaring, the owner has a great sense of humor and his servers are very efficient and very pleasant .  It is the only restaurant where we have had steamed edamame, which was a nice surprise, because it was fresh and warm.  Their miso soup is very good too.  We have gotten into the habit of having a pork entrée (whose name I can't remember!) and a tempura entrée, which comes with 4 pieces of  California roll, a delicious salad, and sticky rice.  Our son, who is quite the Japanese food aficionado, has eaten dinner there with us and says their menu offers things he seldom sees at other Japanese restaurants, so we always try something different, just to experiment.  Having a good Japanese restaurant nearby is a definite pus for us.  It's also reasonable.  There are seats at the sushi bar and nice roomy booths are also available.

I like the sushi here. It's a little different from some other sushi restaurants because the rice seems a bit sweeter and less vinegary. This is not a bad thing; it helps the flavor of some things and takes away from others, and can be compensated for with soy sauce if you'd like. I thought the saba and sake were a little sub-par, but the tuna and especially the shiro maguro (white tuna) were excellent. They also make hamachi maki rolls that have sesame added, and that is just an out-of-this-world combination. Prices are about typical for sushi. Would definitely come back here, especially since it's the only actual sushi restaurant in Moraga.
