I ordered take-out, and the food here is not good at all. Thom Kha is my favorite thai soup, and Panang beef is my favorite curry. The Thom Kha lacked flavor and was mostly coconut milk; and the Panang beef was extremely greasy and had a flavor that was reminiscent of alfalfa except that I couldn't find anything that was even remotely green in it--not one vegetable, in fact.
Don't go to this restaurant. You will spend way too much money for very bad thai cuisine.

Update: I returned to the restaurant to complain and try to obtain a refund. The hostess/server did not want to refund me on the basis that I was wrong about what I was expecting from their food.
I had to ask for a refund 3 times. She charged me for the angel wings, which I also previously ordered (the menu says that they are spicy--they are not--and she argued with me and told me I should have specified that I wanted spicy. Did I mention that the menu says they're spicy?). .
Eventually she agreed to refund me, but reluctantly.
I don't typically tip on take-out, but I did just this once. I really hope I don't have to battle this establishment for the tip that was intended for the food purchase I ultimately did not make.
Something must have been amiss the night I & a friend ate here. Lots of people were eating here & didn't look unhappy, so I presume it's a local favorite. But, for me, the food was cold served on cold plates. After a quick microwave (no!) heat-up, we had HOT plates and warmish food. I just don't like cold to room temp scallops and shrimp. Waiter/owner? was rushing around. Wine came after meal served &only after I re-requested it. Plain cold tables with no place mats.  Bathroom & its sink dirty. Very dirty .I don't want a striving restaurant to disappear, So, c'mon. Just the basics! Good food, served & prepared  well, attentive service, clean bathrooms.
Review Source:Phad Thai is inexpensive for a restaurant to make, and allows a tremendous profit margin. Â I was hosting a group of students and made an order for Phad Thai for 15 and asked that it be placed in an alumnum pan. Â When a colleague brought it back to campus I discovered a container that was less than full and we needed to run back and to get a second/quickly. Â When I placed the initial offer I asked for a separate order of shrimp phad thai to take home to my wife. Â Arriving home I opened the bag and found the clam shell only 1/3 filled. Â Worse, in the entire order there were only 3 shrimp: Â period. Â Inexcusable. I didn't order from the children's menu! And, it's not as if this is any less expensive than other local Thai restaurants. Â I will be sure to go to one of the many Thai restaurants in Walnut Creek hereafter. Â It's worth the drive (or, I'll go to the Moraga Chinese restaurant which serves realistic portions, is good, and very reasonable.)
