The City Cafe is a nice, casual breakfast and lunch place on the sunny corner of Pulaski and Melrose.
The menu is a mix of traditional American and Mexican breakfast fare, with a page of lunch menu items and a decent kids menu. The omelets were a reasonable size, not GIGANTIC 5-egg monsters like some places, and the pancakes were fluffy and tasted like they were made from scratch.
The staff was very attentive and ready with water and coffee refills. The food was tasty and very inexpensive, coming out to under $15 for two of us. Their home-squeezed orange juice was delicious!
