decent burrito place: I stop in here once a month for a regular burrito. I always get the Mexican sausage as I like spicy food. They also have other dishes but i can only attest to the burritos. The only dish I had here that was not that good was there nachos. For what they charged it tasted like they came from a ballpark. The help is always friendly and offers you whatever you want with your meal. Then hours are great because there open late.
Review Source:I have eaten at this LaBamba for lunch more than several times. Â They have a Tuesday special, $1.25 tacos. Â I haven't tried other items on the menu but in my opinion, La :Bamba has the best tasting tacos in Bloomington/Normal. Â To me the ingrediants seem fresh and my tacos are always hot and flavorful.
Review Source:Man, I wish this place was better! But it just isn't. Burritos ALWAYS have a puddle of grease to pour out of them, and they are impossible to eat without getting it all over the place. Tacos are better and barely keep this from being a two star rating. Also, everything here is under-seasoned. No cumin, oregano, salt or pepper. Leaves everything with a greasy flavor. Nothing tastes fresh, always a day-old warmed-over flavor. Worthy only of late night after bar gnash...
Review Source:It is what it is. Big portions of Mexican food prepared fast. Their tamales are darn good, and the best value is the super nachos. Their horchata is also pretty good. If you love Qdoba/Chipotle, this place may be a little too ethnic for you. If you like your stuff spicy like me, they will give you as many salsa cups as you want. I recommend the green spicy one.
If you like cheap Mexican street food, then this has what you are looking for, but it is not the world's (or even BloNo's) best.
