Save your money!  La Hacienda is a restaurant with an identity crisis, and it shows in the quality of the food.  The sign says both "Steak and Seafood" and "Bar and Grill".   They want the restaurant to appear somewhat upscale, but it falls short.  It is more of an expensive Mexican sports bar/diner than anything.

From the outside, the restaurant has been recently redone, and it looks nice.  The inside is not done nearly as well.  There's a large bar area, an even larger area with pool tables and TVs.  The restaurant area is about half the size of the pool table area.  It's all open, and very loud, with folks at the bar, people playing pool, and both TVs and music blasting.

The menu is reminiscent of local diners - huge.  This is always a concern in my experience, as it seems to mean that a restaurant does lots of things, and none of them well.  After La Hacienda I haven't been disabused of this notion.

We were there with the girls, so we ordered an appetizer to start, and that was their Nachos Supreme.  Chips were stale, meat was unseasoned hamburger with the grease left on, good amounts of cheese and jalapeños, and lettuce and tomatoes.  Not great.  The kids weren't even really interested.

Main dishes - girls got soft tacos from the kids' menu.  They were disappointed.  One tortilla, with a ton of rice, a few beans, and more of that unseasoned hamburger.  Very disappointing.  They also got one drink included with their meals, and no free refills.  The waitress did not mention this until the bill came.

My wife ordered a filet mignon.  What came out was not a filet.  It was a small steak, but I don't believe it was ever anywhere close to the tenderloin.  Very bland though.  She also ordered a virgin daiquiri, and it was not done well.  There were quite a few large chunks of ice in it.

I ordered the combination fajitas - this included steak, chicken, and shrimp.  It did come with all three, but it was fairly greasy, and bland.  They only included two tiny tortillas, and charged for two additional.

The cook must not like seasonings.  None of the food had any additional seasoning.  Food was hot when it came out, service was OK, but the food was unexciting, and expensive for what you get.  It's a local restaurant we thought would be good, but wouldn't likely go back to.
