I first found out about La Mia Focaccia by reading some rather good reviews on Yelp and since I was in the area and because I'm a real pushover for having a good sandwich, especially one with an Italian accent to it, I thought I'd give the place a try and I'm really glad I did.

Basically it's somewhat of a little hole in the wall family type of operation but I think that is what makes it so special. Everything is fresh and anything you order has that extra "family touch" along with certain added special care taken about it. The bread, baked fresh daily is some of the best ever and I fully agree with fellow Yelper, Jeremy B., that just about anything you'd put in it or on it would taste good. Best off, you have your choice from five different breads being Rosemary & Garlic, Plain, Onion, Artichoke & Olive and my choice, the Wheat Plain Focaccia. I honestly can't think of any place else with a better offerings or better tasting sandwich breads.

Another amazing treat is their Panzerotti, an exclusive, which is made with special light dough stuffed with fresh plum tomato sauce and mozzarella which I understand to be a traditional specialty of Bari, Italy.

In all, the menu is definitely Italian with zero compromise to Americanization and rather complete considering that it is only a lunch sandwich type of restaurant operation.

Another thing worth noting is that it only seats about 10 people comfortably and during the lunch hour it does get mobbed out, which actually serves as a testament for their well deserved popularity.

Hands down, favorite local spot to get a sandwich! Located in the middle of a small plaza, but don't let that fool you. Great selection & taste! Be sure not to go during 'rush-hour' lunch (12:00pm-1:30pm)!

I worked down the street and never knew this place was here. Thank goodness for yelp because this is an amazing lil joint. Everything is fresh, the focaccia is delicious so every sandwich you order is spot on. It's a little piece of Italy on the side of powerline..who knew?!?
Parking is a challenge but its worth it. Manga!!
