This is a popular place for breakfast business meetings, and rightfully so, for the following reasons:
1) The food is pretty good, but not great. Let's be honest - how great can eggs, omelettes, bacon, etc. be?
2) Service is almost instantaneous because they know many of their breakfast clients are there for business meetings. For example, water is on the table before customers get there.
3) Food orders are turned around very quickly - within a few minutes.
You're in and out quickly, the food is good, and the prices are reasonable.
An average place for breakfast.  This  Le Peep location was okay.
I do have the say the  Hollandaise sauce was a bit lifeless.  It was certainly fresh and decently smooth.  But at the same time it also seemed like it was prepared in a hurry and lacked the amount of lemon juice  you would normally expect a well prepared Hollandaise to have.
The potatoes were in keeping with what you might expect for a Le Peep. Â Healthy enough, but needing a bit more zing. Â You might be wondering about why potatoes were served with Eggs Benedict?? Â That's just the way they roll at Le Peep.
The saving grace was the delicious fresh orange juice. Â When I asked for a pitcher the staff brought it right out. Â When I had some left over they offer a to-go cup. Â Thanks guys! Â You made the most of meal right then and there!
Silverware and plates look a bit worn but were serviceable enough for your local breakfast spot.
Newspaper and Internet were available. Â You might have to ask the manager to reboot the router. Â My connection did not work right away and as the management explained the router gets hung up at least once a day.
Price was average to a little more that what I expected. But certainly not over the top.
Service during the meal was average to below par. Â But the ending with packaging the extra juice to go made up for it.
While not the best for a a breakfast joint, Le Peep Restaurant is certainly better than heading out to any McDonalds
My husband and I as well as his sister and her boyfriend carpooled to Carmel/Indianapolis for a memorial service and the day we had to leave, we decided to give this place a try for brunch. Â It was quite busy and there was a bit of a wait, but it was worth it. Â We all really enjoyed what we chose and now we crave to go back, but alas, we can't really drive 4 hours just for breakfast, so we're planning on hopping a Metra train and going to the nearest Le Peep which is in Mt. Prospect, IL. Â Yeah, it was that good!
Review Source:Le Peep is one of our family's regular haunts. I think it is mandatory for us to go there every time my in-laws visit. There, and well, MCL :-)
Even though this location is always busy for weekend breakfast, we never seem to have to wait despite having a gang of 10. The servers here are among the best you'll find at any similar style establishment - efficient, attentive and pleasant.
All the items I've tried are excellent and I particularly like the numerous omelette and skillet options that don't have sausage or bacon with them. If you're not a big red meat eater, like me, you'll find plenty to choose from here.
A must-try item: the gooey bun, which must be a Le Peep original. Basically, a toasted english muffin layered with butter, cinnamon and sugar and toasted almonds....served with a small side each of warm sauteed apples and cream cheese to spread on top....yum!
Where to begin with the scrumptious offerings from Le Peep. Â A few of my favorites are the crunchy french toast (it's coated with some oatmeal mix) a must try if you looking for something sweet and different. Â Like cream cheese? Â Well, their Sailor Man omelet won't leave you hungry. Â It's a mixture of seafood (usually shrimp and scallops) with some spinach (I think) and cream cheese. Â You don't have to wait for coffee or water because they supply each table with a carafe of water and coffee ~ if that's what you want. Â Service is good - they check in on you but leave you alone. Â The wait can be pretty crazy on the weekends ... but personally worth the wait. Â Check them out - oh btw, I've only been to the Le Peep on Meridian and 86th street -- both consistently good.
Review Source:Great omelettes and they have a granola french toast that's pretty darn good too. Â Lot's of "skillet" choices on the menu. Â Their potatoes are seasoned very well and the coffee is pretty good. Â Service is usually pretty good. Â If there's a long wait, I typically will skip out and go somewhere else. Â If you're on a low carb diet, they will substitute items for bread and potatoes at no additional charge.
