So, my girlfriend and I were in the area to find some lunch and we decided on Le Peep. Â We both like brunch style food and wanted something other than diner style. Â Upon entry it seemed clean enough and we were greeted with little enthusiasm or friendliness. Â We sat down and got the usual, "can I get you something to drink?" Â We started with just water. Â After a few minutes the waitress came back and asked if we knew what we wanted. Â I had an egg and spinach dish with chicken and potatoes. Â My girlfriend had a spinach and mushroom sandwich. Â I then asked for coffee as well. Â The food came quickly and was alright. Â My eggs were overcooked though. Â The sandwich was ok according to my girlfriend. Â We didn't have much issue with the food. Â It was as expected for a chain restaurant. Â But the waitress seemed like we were bothering her and brought our check without a second word. Â I think she asked if everything was alright, but if so it was done in passing and without genuine care. Â After we ate and I drank my coffee, she came back and asked if we were all done. Â My girlfriend is a light eater and had the majority of her food remaining on her plate. Â The waitress didn't even ask if there was something wrong with the food or if she wanted a to go box. Â I thought that a little odd as it seems almost customary in most sit down dinning establishments. Â So we asked and got a tiny box without another word. Â When I got up to pay at the front (which we had to guess at because neither the waitress or host said anything about it), the host grunted at me after I gave him my check. Â Not a thank you or please come again or how was the meal. Â Nothing. Â This prompted a conversation in the car between my girlfriend and I about friendliness in the world. I guess in the end, we got what we went for: food. Â But it wasn't great and the couldn't-be-interested-in-customers service will keep us from patronizing the establishment again. Â We should have gone to Village Inn. Â At least I know the pies there are good.
Review Source:We spotted this place our first night in Denver and had been dreaming about visiting ever since! We finally visited for a spontaneous brunch and were pleased by the cute, country setting and friendly waitstaff. The prices were great, the portions were large, and the food was well seasoned. Not too oily or salty, as can often be the case with breakfast places. We were really impressed by the wide variety of foods included on the  menu, including plenty of healthy and vegetarian options. The only thing that concerned me was that I saw a waiter grab a sandwich with his bare hands to slice it, then immediately served it to the table behind us. I didn't witness any such treatment with our food, but it disturbed me.
Review Source:Came with my son for lunch. Â I had the Gipsy potato skillet and it was unbelievable dry and tasteless except for to much salt on it. Â My son had the pancakes and banana on the side. Â The pancakes were normal but the banana must have been very brown.
The place smells like unwashed people and I only saw guests who were over 50. I came around noon and saw a total of 6 other customers.
3rd attempt at Le Peep...same results.
We went here to use our free lunch coupons we got because our last visit to a Le Peep (see my review of a Le Peep a week ago). Â The waitress said that we can use it so we said great cause we would've left otherwise. Â We hate this place but free food is free food.
We ordered some Bloody Mary's cause they had a deal. Â My wife's came with a little something "extra". Â She looked down and saw a gnat or fruit fly on top of her drink as the waitress set it down. Â She quickly took drink and eventually gave us a new one. Â
Meal done, nothing too great or bad with food during lunch...just got some sandwiches. Â We were a little ticked off because the Blood Mary wasn't comped even though the first had a bug it in, normally it's customary to do so. Â Went to go pay, owner/manager said he can't accept coupon cause the stamp it didn't have correct punch on it! Â We tried to argue why we got it and that this situation isn't helping. Â He didn't help, then continued to charge my account $87.00 rather than $27.00 for our food. Â Then had to void it and had to run my card again!
I paid, left no tip, and tossed my useless free lunch voucher at him and stormed out. Â NEVER WILL GO TO ANY LE PEEP AGAIN! Â even if they paid me!
Finally decided on this place for fathers day over Delectable Egg - bad choice.  We were seated in the dining room, which felt like a balmy 85°, and had to move to the patio, where my 3 year old was was quick to mention how much traffic there was 30 feet from our table.  The food was, at best, almost acceptable.  My eggs were underdone, potatoes overdone, and sausage a little burned.
Review Source:Had lunch here today with two friends from work. Food was pretty good typical lunch fare. My salad was very fresh though - liked that! The dressing was of an off brand variety blue cheese...not that good. Good coffee that you'd expect at a breakfast brunch lunch spot. We arrived at 12:45pm and only 7 others were there. Had the tomato and cheese panini
- it had good flavor from the gruyere cheese and Roma tomatoes. Bread was toasted and had garlic butter on the outside....definitely a two napkin sandwich!! I'll return as it's convenient to work...and I have my eye on breakfast for lunch!!
A-Ok describes my breakfast at Le Peeps perfectly. Â I had their blueberry pancakes which were good. Â My side of bacon came crispy as I asked and the potatoes were fine too. Â My friend ordered eggs benedict and we also had fresh squeezed orange juice. Â There was nothing extroidinary about the meal, but no complaints either. Â I do think it was a little pricey, before the tip it was $28.00 plus some change. Â The staff was very friendly and made sure to address us as we left.
Review Source:Meh. Came here because its close and we had a coupon, didn't notice til after we were about to leave that you can't use coupons on Sunday.
I got some kinda veggie cream cheese scramble, it was OK, I only had a few bites and the boy had to eat the rest.
Yeah I'm pretty sure everything was microwaved except the waffle. There is no way those potatoes ever touched a griddle/skillet.
Service was OK. Carafes were super ancient.
I'd give it four stars if they actually cooked their breakfast potatoes and bacon on a skillet rather than the microwave. Do they have an army of microwaves in the kitchen?
Our waitress was totally ON IT. My english muffin, eggs, and mocha were very, very tasty.
It was better than (the over-rated) Dozens.
Oh Le Peep...how you have let me down!! Not that my expectations were super high to start with... Mother's day brunch and a half empty restaurant should have tipped me off that something may go amiss. The wait staff was really friendly and the service was speedy-espcially considering we were a party of seven.
Two meals were good (the typical pancake platters), three were so-so (crab Benedict, salmon something or other and a ham breakfast burrito) and two were practically inedible (chicken, mushroom, broccoli skillet w/basted eggs and the chicken breakfast burrito).
My tip-stay away from the chicken. It was dry and tasted like day-old reheated rotisserie chicken. The server was apologetic when notified and did her best to make amends. Her effort seems to have been thwarted by the manager, however! In the end she (the manager) agreed to take $3 total off of the bill. No apology:( She didn't even say hello when she came to the register to make an adjustment.
Instead of losing two customers the may have just lost seven. Â
So...the next  meal review will be positive. I promise.  I can't have y'all thinking I'm cranky all the time!
