We hadn't been to the now Lemont Street Café for a few years but returned this morning.  It was good!  The farmer's breakfast was it's usual tasty self, and D enjoyed her crepes and even the tea.  The Very Berry Explosion was delightful as usual.  The coffee seems to have improved a notch.  Service was good and down-home.  We'll be back again!
Review Source:After having breakfast earlier in the week, we decided to try their Friday night fish fry. Â We weren't disappointed. Â We chose a special, the grouper, and enjoyed very much. Â We arrived about 5:30 and the restaurant was quite busy, but with mostly an older crowd. Nothing wrong with that...older folk know prices and quality. Â By the time we left, the families started coming in with their kids. Â This restaurant just generates good vibes. Â Clean, pleasant, friendly and inexpensive. Â Good food too.
Review Source:We went in for my daughters 19 B-Day party on a Friday night. There was 6 of us.
The food terrible. Everyone got the fish fry except for me I got the flank steak.
Mine was tough and chewy and cold. Everyone who ordered the fish fry was treated to greasy, greasy, greasy under cook fish, shrimps that tasted like they had been out for 2 weeks before cooking. We all got the potato pancakes, what a mistake. They tasted like they had been in the same place the shrimps where.Needless to say we all left hugry. The service was aweful, she got at least 4 things wrong never a sorry or thank you or a smile for that matter. I could go on but what would be the point. Oops one more thing, frozen veggies that were so under cooked they were cold. I use to go to place a lot but never again. This was my third bad meal at The Lemont Street Cafe and my last.
They ruined my daughters party. But that's ok we had a BIG SURPRISE party for her later so she didn't even care, but I did!!!
