They have an awesome menu. I tried the salmon sandwich and it was great! I look forward to trying their tapas too. I didn't care too much for the bar, bit of an older rowdy crowd. Not sure if it's usually like that or not. It was nice to sit out front on the patio though and we had good service considering we weren't inside. The decor inside is a bit dated but that doesn't affect much. I will be returning to try more of their yummy food!
Review Source:My Tuesdays have consisted of finding the "perfect study hub" for my Yoga as Therapy program, and The Lobby Cafe and Bar wins the prize. Â Each week I've entered into a new establishment with a check list of things I need to accommodate my four-hour study sessions, and this wonderful local spot has covered it all:
1) Free Wi-Fi (just ask for the password)
2) Coffee & Tea - I need a good pick-me-up throughout the day!
3) Good Food - brain food is a must! Â The grilled portabello with the vegan red pepper soup was delicious! Â A huge plus is they support local farms.
4) Windows - I love natural light when I study
5) Comfortable Seating - they have padded chairs at their bistro tables, along with big cushy chairs + small swivel tables attached
6) Accessible Electric Outlets - gotta plug in that laptop!
7) Close Bathrooms - who wants to pack up their laptop for every bathroom break?
8) Good Service - AMAZING service! Â Amy is the best--she is so attentive, friendly and accommodating, thank you!
9) Â Morning and afternoon hours - open for an all-day study session!
10) Location & Local - right in the heart of OKC in our beloved Western district, and I love to support local!
*Bonus: Â They have a patio!
I'm not sure why this sweet little spot in the center of it all doesn't factor more prominently in my roster. After running some errands last week, I motored in here for a quiet spot to sit and work for a while.
This is the time of year when I feel an urgent need to soak up every last drop of sunshine I can find, and Lobby Bar's patio proved the perfect place to enjoy some Vitamin D, a glass of vino, and charge my laptop via some outdoor (!) outlets. Mama Mia!
Christopher did a great job of taking care of me, but did not even enter my eyeline while I was on a call (props for that!). While I can only comment on the patio, the wine, the service and the electricity, I will certainly be back for more as soon as there's an opening in the skedge for some patio time.
I used to come here all the time a few years ago and still go here after dinner at Sushi Neko when I'm in the Nichols Hills area.
The food here is pretty good, and they do serve the famous Red Canyon Roll if asked and a few other sushi rolls which is nice if Sushi Neko is busy.
My bf usually gets scotch and a cheese course and I almost always get their chocolate torte which is AMAZING and probably the best dessert ever! However, last time I tried it, it tasted very different in a bad way so.. I don't know what happened to it even the creme anglaise had changed to a foamy consistency and the torte itself was just bitter and not sweet at all. Maybe, they accidently used salt instead of sugar and forgot to taste the batch that I got? Could be possible. Other than that.. I love the atmosphere here and would return again.
Lively, innovative tapas menu. Â Highly recommend bacon-wrapped dates stuffed with goat cheese and chorizo, sauteed calamari, and sauteed Brussels sprouts with yogurt and chorizo. Lots of citrusy, peppery, garlicky flavors all popping at once. Many local ingredients. Â The cafe occupies the former lobby of the neo-art deco Will Rogers movie theater.
