  Wow B A D! Where do I start?! Lobster bisque that takes like a combo of flour and milk, heated.  Fried shrimp that appears to be Mrs Paul's boxed fried shrimp out of the frozen food aisle, and French fries that were cooked hours ago. Do yourself a favor and skip this spot.

  I went with my husband and another couple the Lobster Claw for dinner as it was 2 blocks from the house we were renting.  The waitstaff was very friendly and they seated us immediately and it went downhill from there.  The appetizers were not edible, the shrimp cocktail was not cleaned and the sevice was very slow.  In addition, the restaurant is filthy.  We ordered the lobster, which was sold out (except for the 2 lb lobster and they had to run to the kitchen to reserve it).  How can a lobster restaurant be sold out of lobster at 7:00pm?  Based on the disgusting appetizers and slow service, we decided to settle our tab and go someplace else for dinner.  I would not recommend this to my worst enemy.  Stay away!!

  If I could give this place no stars I would. First my family only went to this place because it was the only place that had no wait, and for good reason. First the decor is awful it was almost sad to sit in this place. I got crab which was over priced and over cooked. My sister got lobster cakes which were probley the most discusting thing I have tasted in awhile. It was mushy inside and hard and deeped fried inside. YUCK is all I can say. I also will not be returning. And the waiter was unhelpful and did not know food at all, he just kept saying I dont know.

  It you want worst seafood in the history of mankind go to the Lobster Claw.  We had to wait 45 minutes to get in, then 20 minutes for drinks before we ordered.  Then the shellfish was overcooked with minimal service as as waitress never came over to refill our drinks.  As Siskel and Ebert use to say "two thumbs down for the Lobster Claw".  Try Stefanos, Yellow Fin, or Black Whale on LBI if you want seafood.  Sorry for this review, I am usually a positive person, but it was one of the worst meals I have ever had in my life.

  Tried The Lobster Claw while vacationing in LBI. It was conveniently located across the street from the house I was renting so my husband and I walked over on our first night there. We went late...around nine but the place was still pretty crowded. Its a BYOB with a very friendly staff. We ordered the steamed mussels with white wine and garlic sauce which were ok. The sauce was hot but the mussels just warm as if they were steamed ahead of time and then the sauce was just ladeled over them. For dinner my husband had the coconut shrimp which he enjoyed but the "oriental" dipping sauce they came with tasted like heated up blueberry jam. For my dinner I had the combo plate (I chose broiled but it also comes fried) which was a small crab cake, about five shrimp, about five scallops, and two pieces of flounder. All of the food was good but the flounder was phenomenal. It tasted sooooo fresh as if it has been caught that day. If I ever go back I think I will just order the flounder...it was that good. All in all a good place for a casual dinner with big portions.

  We ordered take out for 8.  It's was ready quickly and everything was good except calamari, that was a bummer.  I will go there again, but mo calamari.  Didn't get a look at their dining room.  Folks were very friendly.
