The food was very good. Having two teenagers in the house and a busy work schedule has made take-out a big part of our lives. It's nice to know I can get healthy and delicious choices at Main Moon. The only drawback is that the Kung Pao shrimp is breaded, which I didn't like.

Best. Chinese. Ever!!! Â I consider myself a Chinese fanatic of sorts and have searched far and wide in search of the best Chinese food. Â Though most of my search has been in the Southeast and Southern CA area, I can say that so far, Main Moon is the best I have had. Â They cook the food in a delightfully oily sauce that I can't find in California. Â Although oily sauces seem to be more common in the Southeast, the sauce itself is more flavorful than other restaurants in the area. Â Whenever I am in town, I always get the Broccoli Beef. Â I have also tried the Sweet and Sour Chicken which is also very good. Â I don't give out 5 star ratings often but with respect to Broccoli Beef, Main Moon does it the best.

Main Moon's menu is standard American-Chinese, but they do it better than most. Â If you're looking for a vegetarian option, ask them to make something that's not on the menu... they're usually very friendly towards special requests.

In particular, I frequently order Mongolian Tofu, which is not on the menu. Â They always make it for me, and it's always very tasty!

I'm a really big fan of this place because it is one of the only Chinese Restaurants in the Athens/Watkisnville area that doesn't use MSG (at least that is their claim, though my husband says he suspects they've started using a little in the
past year - say it ain't so!).

Lunch specials are great and affordable. Huge portions, delicious egg rolls and friendly staff. The only thing I'd have them change is to add a few more vegetarian options, but hey, the ones they have aren't too shabby. There is even a steamed option for those watching their weight.
