I wavered between 1 and 2 stars.  Went with two b/c the place is visually beautiful and the bar is nice.  The food is ridiculously overpriced for the quality you are getting.  I've now eaten there 3 times, hoping that I'd be impressed and leaving asking myself how they are going to be able to make it when they are serving a $29 meat entre that was dry as the bone it was on and the presentation of it looked like it was put together by a high school lunchroom.

My kids had a couple of burgers and they couldn't even get them right.  The medium was so rare that it was cool to the touch and the medium-well was overdone.

    Go there for a drink.

I always review Yelp before I go to a new eatery (except this time)  but have never posted a review before but I felt the need to do so now.

I have been to the 2 shore Mcloones when I lived down there and had decent experiences.

3 of us went for lunch at the Boathouse this past Monday based on my recommendation and that we wanted to try someplace new close by.

    A TOTAL DISASTER!

I was embarrassed at the level of service and the bad food.

It was like being in a TGIF.

Raymonds May have gone downhill but nowhere near this.

Mcloones has a 15 yr lease at $22500 rent per month with the county similar to the deal with the Highlawn Pavilion.

There has to be a clause in the lease that holds Mcloones to some quality standard which is not an issue with Highlawn.

We almost went to Highlawn; I wish we had.

I will never go to this place again

I'm pretty much going to say what everyone else already said.  The actual place is beautiful.  Service was fine.  Food was absolutely tasteless  beyond overpriced!!!!  This place will not last much longer, mark my words.

6 of us went Saturday night.  Girlfriend has friench onion soup.  Tasted like dishwasher fluid.  Bland, no seasoning.  Mind you, if I go to a "diner" and order french onion soup, i expect mozz cheese.  If I am going to an "upscale" restaurant, would you not expect gruyere cheese?  Anyway, it was gross!

Another friend of ours ordered Lobster Bisque.  No lobster in it, i repeat, NO LOBSTER in it, and again, bland, tasteless, no seasoning.

My dinner i ordered the fettuccine bolognese.  for $20.00.  I was hoping for the best, but naturally got the worst.  I was hoping for creamy, flavorful taste.  Instead, bland yet again, no salt, no pepper, no garlic.  Essentially, it was noodles w/ canned meat at best.  I promise you, i NEVER complain about my food at a restaurant & never send things back, but this was a joke.

I don't mind paying a high price so long as the food is excellent.  I've been to the Chart House in Weehawken several times, expensive? sure!, but the food is wonderful.

Don't say you weren't warned about this place:(
