Great place for breakfast! Reasonably priced with good size portions. And it was very tasty! Had the corn beef hash, it wasn't what I was expecting but it was delicious! Large chunks of tender corn beef and potatoes with yummy bits of garlic. Only could eat 1/2, so I get to enjoy it again tomorrow.
Service was friendly and attentive. Can't believe we've lived here 5 years and have never  been here.
After several attempts off their dinner menu (you really work up an appetite over free pool), we gave up on that side. Â One day, came in and tried breakfast. Â THAT is where you should order. Â Pretty damn good gravy. Â Hashbrowns were nice and crispy. Â
There's one really nice bartender that I'm happy to see since he's always nice and helpful. Â He'll be the one with the jackalope tattoo on his arm. Â One guy is still a douche and won't really pay any attention to you. Â
Still the place to go for free pool and hello, maple bacon sundaes!
Good lordy! I can't believe I walk by this place all the time and hadn't stopped in for my favorite meal...breakfast! Coming here early on a Sunday morning I found I had the place all to myself. I had the special omelette and boy was it special! Tons of fresh ingredients, hot and perfectly seasoned. What could be better? How about a gigantic cup of piping hot coffee???
Review Source:Just went for breakfast for the first time and it was excellent. We had the steak fajita omelet and the steak was tender and perfect. Our bartender Chris made us a great bloody mary to go with it and our service couldn't be better. We will definitely be back. The only complaint I could come up with is I wish they opened earlier.
Review Source:On Sundays, KC's Midway opens at 9:00AM. The same very experienced bartender typically has menus sitting out at the tables to let you peruse your food choice before he comes and takes your drink order. He's not exactly chipper; but, you don't really want that after waking up from an alcohol-soaked bender with friends. There are a bunch of TVs showing various sporting evens with the volume at a mellow tone. There is an internet Jukebox if you still have Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" stuck in your head from whatever dive you ended up at last night (going for the Soused badge, are ye?). More than a dozen pool tables will keep you at distance from the billiards junkie who can't seem to perfect his Massé.
Killer drinks, and a diverse beer selection. I've tried the bloody Mary, screwdriver, Spanish coffee, to name a few, and they're spot on. The guy will leave you alone to enjoy your seriously coronary-inducing portion of whatever your heart desires on the food menu. Lunch food is served too, so if you want a Jalapeno popper burger, have fun, it's spectacular.... Never been here at night, may have to check it out sometime.
Sunday morning's in Oregon City seem to be either Churches or Taverns.
Wanting some breakfast before hiking Silver Falls this was the only place we could find open that had food (that's right - food, not church), so we took a chance.
We got a clean table against the windows and placed our order. It took a bit too long to get our meal but when it came it was one of those wonderful stick-to-your-ribs breakfasts that's so satisfying you want to relax after with a cup of coffee for a few minutes and savor the moment.
Well worth a visit and as far as we could tell free of any competition - other than churches - on Sunday mornings.
